It looks like there’s no more options for me as I’ve been in hospital for a week with a
bowel
obstruction
. HGSOC 3C. Had 2 lines chemo close together. Just had Carbo/gemcitabine but it made me so ill. Now I’m just waiting to see what happens. No food or drink. Any hints you brave ladies?

Did any of you that got a CRC diagnosis have a really low fecal calprotectin score? I have been worried (as we all are) about what will be found on this colonoscopy, but I had a

Confused about relatives diagnosis and treatment for colon cancer
Grandad is 87, diagnosed with colon cancer at the beginning of the year. Only symptom was rapidly decreasing iron in blood. They said he had stage T4 and that they were going to do an operation to remove the cancer. They did just that last week. Doctors said they had removed the cancer and he was released

However I ended up in urgent care 2 weeks before the MRI with a suspected
bowel
obstruction
. My main endo issue has always been this feeling of everything getting stuck/trapped to the left of my belly button (I think in my descending colon) but it got so bad I felt my bowels had stopped completely.

3 failed coloscopies

colonoscopy perforation risk
I saw my PCP and told him there was rectal bleeding and he immediately said I need a colonoscopy. However, the last time I had one I almost got a perforation. The doctor had to stop the procedure. That was a year ago. During the procedure I felt a burning, searing pain which was not normal so I know

Iodine and Povidone - A Chemistry Lesson
Over the years, we have seen many mentions of povidone-iodine. This video is the first time I have ever come across a proper explanation as to why povidone-iodine is chosen! It then continues with its aim of extracting pure iodine from povidone-iodine. The video could be very boring if you are

Cholestyramine
My husband has had explosive diarrhea since mid February. After blood tests, stool samples, colonoscopy, and more stool samples, they are not able to determine what is causing the diarrhea. The doctor has prescribed Cholestyramine. Has anyone had experience with this medication and did it help?

Colonoscopy v Colonography
Has anyone else been told they have a loopy bowel and it is not advisable to have a colonoscopy anymore. They recommended ct colonography, but i am worried about the amount of radiation this needs. Apparently 2yrs normal exposure in one go. Anyone else had this predicament?
