I am scared of colon cancer

hello everyone,

I am scared that I might have colon cancer. I have changes in bowel movement . gas and burping that happens after a meal. The other night , I had diarrhea and went to the restroom 3 times within 2 hours. After this, I noticed bloody mucus in the toilet. I also have a gurgling stomach, it gurgles even when I am not hungry. I don't have any abdominal pain, weight loss or nausea. At first I thought it was IBS but after seeing bloody mucus, I am starting to think the worst. On Monday, I am calling a GI doctor to set up an appointment but I am so worried.

Hi Kvance424,

Thanks for posting with us. My first thoughts are did you eat something that didn't agree with you? Perhaps something new or different? Did others have issues that may have eaten at the same place? Ruling any of that out, it's good you are getting it checked out with your GI doc. Your symptoms could be a lot of different things. You just need to narrow it down and not have to speculate and you're on your way do doing just that. Something else to think about is if there are any hereditary medical issues within your family? That would be good info to share with your doctor during your visit.

We do wish you the best in getting answers. You're well on your way to getting just that. Please let us know what you find out. That type of information can be beneficial to others on this site as well.

Thank you,

Tom

Best get it checked out. The sooner you do the sooner you will feel more in control. Worrying is understandable, so be kind to yourself.
