Womanlab website & radio programme
Hello All I found this website today http://womanlab.org/blog/ and I thought it might be of interest. Its a US-based site which is evidence-based and looking at sex and cancer for women. There's information on menopause on there too. I also found this half-hour radio interview about genetics and cancer

Mucinous Adenocarcinoma
I'm new here.... Back in 2015, at the age of 21, I had a very large borderline cyst on my ovary that was removed. It came back larger and in February 2018, at the age of 24, I had my right ovary and fallopian tube removed. It was Stage 1, but because of its size and having to be drained during surgery

Fabry disease
Ive had a kidney transplant in 2007 but the docs never knew why my own failed in the first place. Last week I was at my 3 monthly appointment at the hospital and the nurse knew I didn't have a reason why my kidney failed as it was on the notes. She said that there is a new blood test to test for fabry

7 to 10 bowel movements per day. But still constipated
Is there any way I can stop having this amount of bowel movements per day. Been to see the doctor, she said that there was nothing she could give me for my frequent bowel movements and prescribed me with some Colofac (Mebeverine). And some Biocare probiotics 30 billion.

Hepatic Encepalopathy medications (Lactulose and Rifamixin OR L-ornithine and L-aspartate)
Which medication would be better to treat HE. The doctor is giving my mom L-ornithine and L-aspartate. My mom has HE and is suffering from delusions which are getting worse. I told my sister that Lactulose is a common medication to treat HE as I have read on the internet and told her to ask the doctor

What was it like for you?
If you have been diagnosed with colon/rectal cancer and had blood in stool as a symptom, what was the blood like? How frequent was it?

Calcium Citrate (with vitamin d3) for IBS-D?
I have been struggling with my IBS of late. I am on a vary blan strickt diet which I have brought upon muself - mainly consisting of boiled potato and chicken. Even with my strickt diet, after dinner I always feel uncomfortable (that's the easiest way to explain it). So no matter what I eat, I feel as

Just diagnosed with colon cancer
Hi all, I have just been told I have signs of cancer in my colon picked up in a CT scan for liver lesions. They now suspect the liver to be secondary. I'm heartbroken as I'm only 36 and I have a 7 year old son who I just can't leave cos he's my world. I just don't know what to expect now as I haven't

Stopping at number 5 ( out of 6)
I haven't posted for awhile, I wanted to get to the end of the Rotterdam regime... ( of weekly cisplatin and etoposide tablets) or as far as I could... Well today was decision day. I could have had the last one tomorrow but I am not putting myself through the wringer one more time as it seems it has

Feeling lost with it all....
Feeling so fed up with it all at the moment, negative lap in early March, 2nd opinion a couple of weeks ago which was pointless. Was first told I would have been checked everywhere despite my letter just saying my uterus, ovaries, tubes, liver and appendix looked fine. When I asked what could be causing

Has anyone out there been on Cisplatin with Etoposide??help!
Hello all you wonderful women out there... please can you help.. I have been suggested for my 4th round of chemo Cisplatin / Etoposide. I looked the registra in the eye and said I had heard this was a tough regime: he looked straight back and said “yes - it is” now I’m nervous enough as my body feels

Sorry for my English, I am Italian, so my English won't be perfect! ;-) On the 26th April, so last week, I went through thyroidectomy because of a thyroid cancer (a TIR 3a then revealed as a cancer).
