If you have been diagnosed with colon/rectal cancer and had blood in stool as a symptom, what was the blood like? How frequent was it?

I was diagnosed nearly 5 years ago with colorectal cancer. Blood in stools was infrequent. First 2 colonoscopies, polyps removed, last time stage 3 cancer. I feel I was misdiagnosed the first couple of times. Any sign of bleeding needs a colonoscopy. Most times it's polyps or hemorrhoids . Better safe than sorry. 💖
