Just seen this on the BBC. Blood test for picking up bowel cancer! Let's hope it's being used before my next colonoscopy in 3 years :) https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-61490061

Desogestrel back and leg pain
Hi Everyone, I've started taking desogestrel as treatment for endometriomas and fibroids. I've only been taking it for a couple of weeks but I'm getting terrible back and leg pain every morning. It wears off a bit during the day but comes back in the evening. Also I'm having to get up every night

Curcumin Real Clinical Study, Anti Inflam
Came across this one. I think it's a rare Curc study using real people, vs animal or lab tests. It's looking for benefits in kidney disease. I was looking to find whether Curc might be a negative for kidney but positive implications come up for reasonable doses. https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show

Obviously I am on the way out but wonder how long I’ve got. Palliative team are organising package of care to

Another post from me! I've been struggling with constipation for a good 6 months now, I'm getting worried that there is something wrong. Im trying to eat a gut friendly diet and am looking for digestive bitters and other ways to support my gut (if you know any, please let me know!) If you know of any

An Unusual False-Positive Uptake of Radioiodine Caused by Breast Implants
Posting this simply to let everyone know! If the issue applies, make sure you discuss properly with anyone who wants to give you radioactive iodine. I suspect it will be at the obscure end of the scale. [i]Clin Nucl Med. 2022 Mar 30. doi: 10.1097/RLU.0000000000004165. Online ahead of print.

Colonoscopy yesterday
Hi all. I'm 54 years old and had my colonoscopy yesterday when I was diagnosed with bowel cancer. I had my CT scan today and waiting to find out if it has spread. My biggest fear is needing a stoma bad after surgery. Help, I'm panicking!

Is anyone being treated for colorectal cancer with any success with immunotherapy. My tumour was removed successfully but I have lymph involvement. I know it’s great for shrinking tumour but what about the lymph gland involvement. Any help gratefully received.

Diarrhoea for 3 months
I started getting really bad diarrhoea in mid December. I’ve never had tummy probs ever before and I’m pretty healthy. I’ve had blood tests, stool tests and scans. All ok - I’m booked in for a colonoscopy next week. Has anyone had anything similar? Any advice? My mum had bowel cancer - I’m 65.

My trial with sodium butyrate, a short chain fatty acid (scfa) and sodium propionate, also a SCFA
Trying, at least for one month, to supplement sodium butyrate. I have done some reading and although I don't understand everything, supplementing butyrate could be beneficial for me because of the, in my opinion, still existing dysbiosis, with all it's consequences for my health. I did have the Lactulose

Small tissue lesion on liver
Has anyone heard or experienced a soft tissue lesion on their liver due to maybe colon cancer spread? I had stage 1 colon cancer removed and all the surrounding lymph nodes were clear. This lesion showed on my latest Ct scan along with fatty liver. I hope it’s just the fatty liver. Thanks I’m advance
