I HAVE IBS WITH CONSTIPATION. I TAKE LINZESS 290 EVERYDAY. HAS BEEN WORKING FOR ME EVERYDAY TOO! THIS MORNING I TOOK IT AND HAD NO BOWEL MOVEMENT! I EAT FIBER 1 CERERAL EVERY MORNING WITH TOAST AND PRESERVES! HAVE NOT HAD NO BOWEL MOVEMENT AND BLOATED UP AS USUSAL! HAS ANYONE ELSE DONE THIS? I DID EAT YESTERDAY TOO! THANKS FOR ANY REPLIES TOO!

I read a article that most people with ibs c are magnesium defficient and after 20 years of having it about year ago i started the magnesium tablets and i go every day now without fail.

It natural to which is better then taking all these laxative and stuff.

So try them.

Also take a good probiotic.

Loadsa water and fruit and veg.

I started doin all this and im as reg as clockwork now every day and i dont have to take anything else and me ibs has more or less gone

THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR REPLY TOO! I DO NEED TO TRY SOMETHING ELSE! FIBER 1 CEREAL BLOATS ME EVERY TIME! I DO DRINK LOTS OF WATER TOO.

Yeh fibre just dont cut it with me on own but the mag tablets do. I take about 500-600 mg a day some people on here take more some less it a case of finding what work for u , i started at about 200 and worked up.

Also i found out i was gluten intolerant and as soon as i stopped eating that i soon found out everything started working again. I mean i would literally go over week without a poop!!

I agree with you. I also take magnesium and commented on it many times. I sometimes take more than you do. By the way which magnesium tablets do you take?

Just holland and barratts 250 mg ones ...

Cheap and usually buy one get one for penny.

I also take there no gluten no dairy probiotics there good to

Hi Lulububs, so pleased for you that you have found some thing that works for you. Just a quick question do you take the magnesium at night or first thing in the morning before breakfast?

I take half in morning with brekkie and half in evening , as last thing u want is the opposite problem at work!

U must test it out what works for u and how much u need as u dont wana have d instead.

I know i need about 500mg sometimes more but if that day ive eaten alot of fruit or veg u may wana take less. U kind of start knowing what u need.

Hi Lulububs, thank you for your reply. Thats a good idea, some times I take 800mg first thing in the morning before breakfast with plenty of water, just to help clear my system. May try your way of doing it 🤗

Well i work full time so i want a gradual build up lol.

If i took 800mg before work id spend all day on toilet so i do half in morning then in evening i do other half , drink loadsa water then by time i get up in morning im usually dying for one.

I'm on the same medication unfortunately for me it's very hit and miss, at the beginning it worked about 4 times a week. I'm lucky now if it works once a week, our bodies get used to some types of medication and they gradually have less impact the longer you take them.
