Came across this one. I think it's a rare Curc study using real people, vs animal or lab tests. It's looking for benefits in kidney disease. I was looking to find whether Curc might be a negative for kidney but positive implications come up for reasonable doses.

One goal was below. These inflammation factors show up often in MPN discussions, so could be relevant to us.
<<Get blood samples to evaluate the supplementation effects in inflammatory biomarkers- factor nuclear kappa B (NFkB), interleukin 6 (IL-6), tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-alpha)>>
They were using 1500mg/day plus piperine which makes Curc more available. The pills many of us are taking have this or other additions to get this added effect.
There are results here:

<<a significant decrease in NF-kB mRNA expression (AU) [from 1.08 ... to 0.52>>
So a bad factor relevant to MPN was cut by half.
<<...suggesting that oral supplementation of curcumin may have an anti-inflammatory effect in this patient group. >>
Only n =14 received the therapy, 14 got placebo. All were dialyses patients.
