Hi. I posted before with ongoing mucus discharge with gas from bottom. I had a clear colonoscopy less than 7 weeks ago but now had a Ct scan with contrast and they have said i have a focal constriction of a part of colon. Said maybe i had a spasm but want to do another colonoscopy maybe. They said the first one should be enough. Has anyone had any experience of this as i cant see there is a issue as i have had a colonoscopy.

Bowel updates
I had both colonscopy 3 weeks ago and CT scan 2 weeks ago and now I have noticed some black in my poo. Going back to consultant on Monday.
I've had this same issue and didn't get a colonoscopy, but I did figure out that if I don't drink caffeine, it goes away. So I switched to decaf coffee, which took a little getting used to, but my problem with the mucus is gone. It's so under control that I can now have a little caffeine once in a while without an issue. I also had to give up gluten, which causes inflamation in my gut and will flare up the mucus and other things. I hope you find answers!
Hi kimberley. Thanks you for the reply.I have went gluten free as much as i can and yes it has helped me no end but the mucus does come back and lasts a day then clear. Jelly discharge. Horrible stuff. I do drink a lot of coffee and never came across my mind to go decaf. I have done with tea but will now try that.
Does your mucus discharge come on and then clear up in a day or so. I was first told by the gp to wear a nappy which i never.
Just reading your postingHope your condition
Have u tried having more anti inflammatory foods
I’m waiting to have a sigmoidoscopy in the next week. Lately feeling tired and a little concerned about weight loss
Hi. Thanks for the reply. Im abroad at present on holiday but my mucus with gas has hit a all time high and find it hard to leave the room. What a holiday. I have severe gas then brown mucus discharge.
Tried bringing gluten free ingredients but no idea whats happened.
Dont worry about your procedure its a breeze. No pain no feeling actually with sedation.
I still have no idea why i get days where im having this heavy mucus discharge.
Tried loads of things but when it hits it hits
I can imagine the woes your having with your tummy, especially when your abroad. Your a brave soul. Have you looked at anti inflammatory foods or tried probiotics.?Anyhow hope you had/having a nice holiday
Hi hutch368. Thank you for the reply and good to hear from you today. Yes maybe brave or silly for going but its not pleasant.Definitely not enjoying myself because of my condition. I have some probiotics with me which im taking and bought a little air fryer for my room so i dont take any risks with outside food but being abroad eating out is one of the pleasures but i cant obviously.
I got some ciprofloxicin and its managed to stop the diarrhea but my stools are pencil thin and full of mucus. I dont mind that as long as the mucus doesn't build up to the point i need to let it out like passing gas.
I sometimes wish they had found something wrong on my colonoscopy at least i could get treatment but being left now to suffer i dont know. I wasnt to bad before i came having spaces of a few weeks before flares but being in thailand has set me off worse than ever.
