Is there any replacement to metformin to get around B12 issue with it?
I have been on metformin for about 11 to 12 years. Recently, my B12 readings are less than normal. Read metformin causes B12 deficiency. For the last few years, I have been taking meformin 250mg 3 times a day right after meal. My latest Hba1c is 5.02. Average glucose (MBG i think) is 97. FBS is 97. Please

PPBS lesser than FBS
I recently got my blood checked. My fasting blood sugar was 128 and PP was 116. This is my first test and I'm confused about this. More I read up, I don't see a case where PP was less than FBS. Could someone please advise?

Vitamin Tablets - Can we take them?
Hi All Prior to my angioplasty I was taking Vitamin B complex, Vitamin D and Vitamin C tablets. I have asked if I can take three again and have been met with mixed reviews. Are any of you taking the above after having angioplasty? Kind regards Tracy 😊

B VITAMINS ARE VITAL. I did not recover from Hashi's til I took individual B vitamins
DO YOU REALLY NEED ALL 8 B VITAMINS? Most medical students are taught that people do not need vitamins and supplements. If you eat a balanced diet, they are told, you get all of the nutrients needed. I was told this in medical school and it is still the mantra being disseminated decades later. The

Taking supplements in combination with ADHD stimulant medication is very beneficial, but there is another important detail to adhere

Hi everyone! I have an 11 year old son that has not officially been diagnosed with add but I know he has it. He makes straight A's in school but since first grade, he has had teachers point out that it seems he has a hard time focusing in class and he doesn't follow directions. I want to try and help

Strange blood test results...
Hi all, I think I may have messed up my latest blood test results by forgetting to stop taking my B vitamins (inc biotin) for the week beforehand - these results look very strange: TSH 5.06 (.27-4.2) FT4 11.4 (12.0-22.0) FT3 4.5 (3.1-6.8) I'm on 50mcg levo; NHS tests in January had TSH below 1 and FT4

Prebiotics + Probiotics. Probiotic production of thiamine, riboflavin and folate. Constipation. Aspiration pneumonia & botanical oil.
Here are several different articles about prebiotic and probiotic(s) (possibly in combination with each other). And the final article relates to PwP oral infestation with gram negative bacteria and aspiration pneumonia. 1) Fenugreek as adjuvant therapy with L-dopa First of all, Fenugreek has been shown

PreDiabetic
Hello all, This is my first post as I've just been diagnosed pre-diabetic. I have a lot of type 2 in the family. I'm male, 68, fit, not overweight, good balanced diet, don't drink, don't smoke. I was put on Sukkarto 500mg x 1 a day last week, and feel a bit funny sometimes. Guess that's my sugar level
