GCA helpful information (I hope).
In addition, my face swelled up like a hamster, though as my daughter so kindly put it “You don’t need
Botox
now” and ( really devastating), my hair fell out (Google “telegenic effluvium”).

Excessive saliva!
I get
Botox
shots every 12 weeks in my salivary glands and wear a scopolamine patch that gets changed every 72 hours! My neurologist suggested that I go to an ENT doctor to discuss having my salivary gland removed! Has anyone had this done?

Pain is so bad and my blocks aren’t working anymore.
Only my PGAD isn’t pleasurable it feels like a
botox
needle jabbing me constantly in the clitoris for about 4-5 hours which is followed by a beautiful sensation of increased burning in the vagina and the rectum. That’s just part of my symptoms. But yet I still fight every day. I still get up.

Am I expecting too much from my first Botox?
Was the dosage too low or am I perhaps immune to
Botox
(I gather it doesn't work for everyone)? Any comments gratefully received!

Has anyone with hemiplegic migraines had success with Botox?
I'm hopeful but nervous and was hoping to hear from other hemiplegic migraine sufferers that had seen a decrease in monthly migraines with
Botox
treatments.

Helping Patients Cope With Chronic Pain
Nerve block therapies and
Botox
injections can help with specific indications. Cortisone injections are used for certain types of muscle and joint pain, although they do not provide long-term benefits and have to be repeated.

Diagnosis. And still I Question...
I was just diagnosed with cervical dystonia by a neurologist who wants to help with
botox
. I need to decide. Is there a group I could call for advice or questions over the phone? Or just on line? Who wants to help me? Here's what's going on in my head.

Dystonia without Tremor?
I was referred to a neurologist specializing in
botox
treatment for headaches. What a wonderful find! I have been suffering on and off with muscle tightness over many years.

I wonder if anyone has tried
botox
for migraine? I have a diagnoisi of exertional migraine after a headinjury for 14 years. I wonder if there have been side effects that have not gone away for the 12 weeks that the
botox
is intended to last.

BOTOX BLADDER TREATMENT
The procedure is done by injecting
BOTOX
around the bladder sphincter and like other
BOTOX
treatments such as for cosmetic use, it tightens the area affected. This topic needs to discussed much more in order to find out if it is used, or even CAN be used on men.

Best mix of meds to treat migraine (UK)
I have tried
Botox
, I have gone gluten free, but still no better (oh weekly acupuncture too!) I don't really don't want to take any more daily meds, it took long enough to wean myself up on the Ami.

Hemiplegic Migraines, Botox, NHS..
I’m currently on a
botox
treatment hold. As i currently pay for my 3 monthly treatment privately i wanted to see if the NHS would take me on for my treatment.

Finally, a diagnosis - I have Cervical Dystonia. Thank you so much Dystonia UK for putting me on the right path.
The next steps are a MRI scan to see if I have primary or secondary CD and then
botox
injections in the affected muscle in my neck. I am still in a state of shock at how little the medical profession know about this condition and how dismissive they can be when you make a suggestion.
