Has anyone tried Botox to help with getting through a medication 'holiday'

I have dystonia which is now becoming a real problem in my right arm and right hand sent me to consultant said it could be possible to give me Botox. I’m wondering if anybody has had their arms or muscles and what like? kind regards, Chris.

Does anyone on hear that has RA and is on RA meds including Methotrexate and Biologics have Botox?? All reply’s really appreciated as always 🥰

Has anyone any knowledge of the use of Botox for RLS?

Hi all I was always under the impression that Botox is something to be avoided with autoimmune illnesses such as Hashi’s.

Have been offered botox but am scared how i will react. Have had migraine for 4 days now cant get rid. Does anyone have any ideas what i could try as everything interferes with Fnd. This fnd and fibro is such a lonely place to be in.

Have been offered botox but quite scared as could cause more issues and fibromyalgia pain is through the roof. Have had a bad migraine for 4 days no medication anyone gotvany ideas or been through similar. People just dont get how you live with fibromyalgia. I also have Fnd.

However I am concerned about what happens after, particularly as I just had my Gall bladder removed in July 2024 and dealing with horrible aftermath of that.Also I am told I need to have 10 Botox injections into my stomach muscles at least 4 to 6 weeks prior to the surgery. All very overwhelming.

I was fortunate that due to the extreme discomfort after a bowel movement I had a minor operation where Botox was injected to relieve the spasm and I had no more pain .

However, the doctors have recommended Botox which is meant to be a good solution but has anyone else has this for the same reason? If so, did you find it helped? Were there any side effects or issues?

I have had an anal fissure for over a decade and had a LIS operation six and a half years ago, however it didn’t work and neither did Botox 6 months later. The surgeon at the time said that if the LIS didn’t work he would repeat it.

My question is: has anyone heard of the Botox injections for eyes to improve ability to open? That eye surgeon who diagnosed her said he really couldn’t do anything for her short of stitching them open a little. I feel like putting her through Botox injections would be hard to deal with.

Dilation and Botox to the Pylorus successful even though food residue and fluid ++ found in the conduit. The surgeon also found which he believes is the problem, a pinch/twist at 41cm/hiatus. So I have been referred for a barium swallow and also to monitor how I progress with food.

Botox may be your answer too.

I tried therapy, botox but my neurologist said it was wearing off of my C/L so he increased my dosage so as of today I take three 25/100 four times a day. Motor function greatly improved but dystonia remained the same and painful to were it was hard to walk. I am 53 as of today.

Does any one else experience these symptoms ond is there hope of getting back my posture through exercise, Botox or whatever? I feel like my insides are being crushed at times and my ribs aore0 hitting my hip bone! Thanks for your input.

Because of my history of varices they wont operate, Just wondering has anyone else been offered botox to relax the muscles? Thanks Ref

I did want to try Botox and even had an appointment. But I funked it at the last minute and never went back. It was only when I found this group (by accident on the web), that I realized it had a name. I‘d like to rejoin the group and read your stories and share experience. Thanks peterdyst
