Has anyone tried Botox to help with getting through a medication 'holiday'

My doctor recommends Botox treatment. Any one have experience with this.

They have recommended Botox injections under general anaesthetic. I am just wondering if anyone here has had Botox injections for pudendal neuralgia, and what the result was? Any flare of pain? Thank you so much. I am praying for all of us with this horrible pelvic pain. 🙏

I'm wondering if it's a good or bad idea to start Botox injections before this gets worse? There was one post where Botox made the foot dystonia worse. Some where it helped. I'd like to hear experiences, pros and cons...

I have dystonia which is now becoming a real problem in my right arm and right hand sent me to consultant said it could be possible to give me Botox. I’m wondering if anybody has had their arms or muscles and what like? kind regards, Chris.

I started a Botox for migraine treatment at the same time, a month ago and I am confused whether the symptoms are from Botox or Raloxifine, has anybody else had experience with the Raloxifine, did side effects go away. I dont want to stop it as I havent managed to tolerate anything else. Thanks

However I am concerned about what happens after, particularly as I just had my Gall bladder removed in July 2024 and dealing with horrible aftermath of that.Also I am told I need to have 10 Botox injections into my stomach muscles at least 4 to 6 weeks prior to the surgery. All very overwhelming.

Have been offered botox but am scared how i will react. Have had migraine for 4 days now cant get rid. Does anyone have any ideas what i could try as everything interferes with Fnd. This fnd and fibro is such a lonely place to be in.

Have been offered botox but quite scared as could cause more issues and fibromyalgia pain is through the roof. Have had a bad migraine for 4 days no medication anyone gotvany ideas or been through similar. People just dont get how you live with fibromyalgia. I also have Fnd.

I was fortunate that due to the extreme discomfort after a bowel movement I had a minor operation where Botox was injected to relieve the spasm and I had no more pain .

Hi all I was always under the impression that Botox is something to be avoided with autoimmune illnesses such as Hashi’s.

He has botox every three months but is not due another dose any time soon. I do physio exercises with him every day multiple times but these are proving less and less efective and he is asking me to do the exercises more and more often.

The choices are: Ajovy, Botox, Emgality, Aimovig (all injections I believe) or Aquipta (tablets). Having looked through all of the information and researched a bit online, I think I'm leaning towards the tablets but I have heard that they can cause digestive issues. Has anyone had these?
