Back in AF.
I had a successful ablation two years ago in May 2021.A couple of days ago I felt a bit weak and instinctively checked my pulse to find that it was erratic. I lay down on the bed and after 10 minutes or so it reverted back to Sinus Rhythm. The same thing happened on the following day. Before my ablation

Pre Syncope/Right Bundle Branch Block
PAF for a number of years now, fairly well controlled with medication of Flecainide, Apixaban, Bisoprolol. The last 3 months episodes of AF have increased. But worryingly for the first time I've had 3 episodes of Pre syncope a couple of second period where I think I'm going to pass out. After effects

Struggling to put on weight
Hi I wonder if there is anybody struggling to put on weight in spite of having 1800-2000 calorie input a day. On this site I usually find only posts in which people complain of not being able to lose weight. I have persistent AF, heart failure and CKD stage 3a. Whenever I ask my doctor why I cannot

Wirral support group?
My dad is 6 weeks post open heart surgery and is looking to join a local support group. It looks like the BHF one has closed down on the Wirral. Are there any others in the Wirral please?

Leadless pacemakers
I live in North Carolina and I have sick sinus syndrome and afib as well as Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy. I just learned a few weeks ago about the newer leadless pacemakers. I understand they are becoming the standard as compared to the wired versions with leads. I had a dual chamber pacemaker implanted

Men's health
I have left scrotal pain for long time. Started in 1994. Intermittent pain gets worse with running. US scan showed mild varicocele. It is not causing any problem with my fertility or performance. I am facing erectile dysfunction and need serious help about the cure/treatment.

Red face / flushing. Possible rosacea
Hi I am 200 plus days post stem cell transplant. Since then I get flushed very easily. I have suffered with this in the past and still have it now but maybe worse I take a few medications still which may or may not help and wondered on any good way of controlling it my consultant has recommended me

GP appointment postponed
My GP appointment has been postponed until 18th July, I wasn't offered an appointment with another doctor. This means I have to postpone the private endo appointment too as it required me to get a referral from my GP. I will do a full thyroid blood tests when I've been on my meds fior 6 weeks. Is there

Post Ablation Diagnosis
I have been very fortunate and had my Afib ablation in Leicester in May. I had excellent treatment with very minimal side effects from the procedure and am back doing exercise and best of all, no episodes of Afib - so all very positive even though it is very early days. My follow up appointment is in

Low Blood Pressure and Heart Rate
Hello All. Does anyone have any advice on this? My EP agreed I could come off Flecainide and just use it as PIP. However, he said I should stay on Apixaban. I had thought it was Flecainide causing the unpleasant side effects of dizziness, breathlessness and lightheadedness as well as stiff aching legs

Calling all patients who have had a heart valve surgery or a TAVI
Hello lovely ones! Some of you may know me already - I had a 2x CABG last Jan, aged 34. Well today is my 36th birthday! I am happy and healthy :D The reason I am posting is that I am hopefully moving in to the world of cardio industry, I was previously in clinical nutrition and artifical feeding.

Mitral Valve Prolapse and Hypothyroidism
Is Mitral Valve Prolapse associated with Hypothyroidism? If so, Is the condition common? I was diagnosed with a mild MVP 30 years ago and Hypothyroidism . 15 years later. Until I started taking Levothyroxine I had panic attack type episodes. I have never had any check ups for the MVP. Thanks

ibuprofen gel
Currently unable to contact a pharmacist or doctor. Does anyone know of a topical pain killer gel I can take whilst on anticoagulants? Apparently, ibuprofen gel is a no-no. Thanks Thanks everyone, pharmacist confirmed I can use Deep Heat, Heat Patches and or, paracetamol.
