Roseway labs
Do Roseway Labs request GP details and ask to write to them? Also, if I request T3, will they need proof that I am taking T4? If so, what proof do they require and how do I submit it? My last blood test was 7 weeks ago, is this too far away if this is what is required? I would be grateful for information

Searching for an immunologist
I strongly believe that I keep failing for two years due to my alergical response. In my next transfer (from donor), I would like to use intralipids. Unfortunately, the doctor doesn't agree to give me intralipids without recommendation of an immunologist. For last three weeks, we have been searching

Inflamed liver
Hi All, I haven't posted for a while, so I will try to explain how I feel generally. Had HA back in September & had a stent fitted. Most of the time I feel ok but every now & again I feel pretty awful, like I'm getting over Flu or a virus. My main symptons are tenderness in lower ribs & stomach ache

Not entirely thyroid related but you are experts on testing.
I've used medichecks over the past 4 years and have no reason to doubt their accuracy, but my eldest son has been diagnosed as depressed and the usual anti-depressants have been thrown his way without any further investigations. I'm not anti anti-depressants but I'm very much pro investigation, particualarly

Really low TSH
Hi, I have been on Levothyroxine for about 2 years. I started at 25mcg and have now been worked up to 100mcg. I had a recent TSH check and it’s come back as 0.05. I asked at the reception and was told this result but there was no one to discuss it with. I was called by a nurse the following day. They

Sporadically fall backwards with no warning
3 weeks into new dose of 100 levothyroxine (on waking) + 2 doses of 7.5 t3 (one on waking and one at 3pm - [built up gradually]). Back to suddenly, out of nowhere just falling backwards and fatigue beyond all comprehension. This falling symptom only started after my 15 days off levothyroxine, nearly

Thyroid Bloods - Opinions Sought
Hi everyone, Have recently had the below blood results from private testing and I'd love the benefit of those who have more knowledge than myself. Brief history - total thyroidectomy 2019 and a downward health spiral ever since, significant weight gain (three dress sizes and no sign of stopping

Prefer pain to steroids!
in 2019 I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, in 2023 following a dexa I was diagnosed with osteoporosis. Today a rheumatologist told me despite negative blood tests he was pretty certain I have PMR and after further blood tests wants me to start taking prednisone. I chose not to take meds for the osteoporosis

Help with T3
I would really appreciate some advice please. I have included my original post below. So last week I went to see another Endocrinologist, they confirmed what I was told by the first Endocrinologist who I saw earlier that week - basically as my TSH levels are within range, I did not need an increase

Deiodinase 2 (DIO2) DNA blood test
Apologies if this is already been discussed at length. I'm just wondering if anyone on here has had this test? If so, where? Was it useful in your diagnosis? There only seems to be one place in the UK that does it. I'm a little dubious as it's only £15 according to their website!!

Confused
UPDATE: April 5, 2024 Yesterday was very disappointing as my husbands PSA increased again by 183 points, last month his PSA was 1546 and now it is 1730. All his other CBC results were good. His Alkaline Phosphatase increased 6 points, last month 127 and now 133 but still in range of 40-150. Questioned

Help with timing of NDT prior to blood tests
Hello. Would any of you knowledgeable people be able to advise me of the best time to take NDT prior to blood tests. I take Armour 1 grain twice a day. The first is usually around 6am and the second around 3pm. Does the same convention for blood tests when on Levo and Lio apply to NDT? Is 9am still
