RlS sufferers benefit from ferritin levels over 100 μg/L, preferably 200 or higher.
On the basis of a consensus of RLS experts, it is recommended that all RLS patients with serum ferritin concentration of 75 μg/L or less and transferrin saturation(TSAT) below 45% should receive a trial of oral iron therapy
You had a ferritin of 42.
The 42 μg/L ferritin figure that Sue reminds you about was from your test nearly a year ago, when Sue also advised on supplementation to improve your levels... you said just over a week ago that you were about to have another blood test, so hopefully you have - or will see - a better result now.
