CA125 68 help

hi all I’m 31years old and last year went to the docs with pelvic pain and lower back pain fatigue Sex is painful sometimes. Ended up having a CA125 blood test last October it was 68 had an ultrasound a week lasted for diagnosed with PCOS fast forward to December last year I was very much in pain still same symptoms nothing had changed I saw a new lady doctor who re did all my bloods etc and my CA125 is still 68 I’ve had other blood tests to rule out endometriosis and varies other things new doctor doesn’t think I have PCOS. She’s down all the blood tests she can possibly do but can’t find out why my level is so high for a normal result it should be 35 or under I’m due to have another ultra sound scan next Saturday but my worry is how do they know from looking at a scan that it isn’t OC surely they have to do more investigating work we have also been trying for baby number 2 for 6 months and it’s not happening could this be linked?

Hi. Your age is on your side though in rare cases young people do get OC, usually a more curable type. I assume they did see cysts? An ultrasound will show whether a cyst is simple or complex and whether it has solid parts. A simple cyst is unlikely to be cancer. Have you seen a fertility specialist? You could push for a CT with contrast.

Yeah cysts are on the scan. I’m going to push for a CT/MRI
