Hi I had a thyroidectomy in 2014 and have been on levo since then. Over the past few years I have gained over 20kg despite being a healthy eater and doing physical activity. My blood test results in March were T4 - 17.5pmoul / range 9-25 TSH 7.9miu/l / range 0.3-5 My doctor increased my dose to 175mcg

Is this the end...
...or another false dawn. Driving to Bremerhaven a few weeks ago I realised I hadn't packed my Pred. Been on 2mg for a couple of years. Okay thought if things start to go wonky I'll go to the local medical centre and tell them. Been 3 weeks now and still haven't had any problems or aches. Now I know

blood tests and zoledronic acid infusions
I recently asked for a blood test in-between my zoledronic acid infusions to see how my calcium levels are, I got a text from a gp to say that I only need a blood test 2-7 days prior to my infusion, it's good to know if I am still absorbing calcium I do not take a calcium supplement,

blood tests while on zoledronic acid infusion.
I recently asked for regular blood tests while on zoledronic acid infusions, a gp sent me a text to say that I only need blood tests a week before the next infusion, I wanted to see if my calcium levels were ok in-between infusions, but no.

Help please, where do I go from here??
Hi everyone, I have had my repeat bloods and everything has come back ‘satisfactory’. I know that doesn’t mean optimal but I also know I’m going to have a hard time convincing the doctor that! I had my free T4 and anti bodies tested at the hospital when I saw the consultant last week, I have requested

Advice on best blood test
Hi there, I'm looking to test Sodium, Potassium & Magnesium levels, as well as a full iron panel, Vit D, B12, Folate, thyroid hormones and sex hormones. I use Medichecks often for testing, but can't find a test that includes everything. I've found a Medichecks test that includes everything but SHBG

Morning everyone, haven't posted for a while as mostly ok.I've had my second AA infusion recently, had a bad tummy after but other than that it was fine. Had some pain in my hand, which comes and goes, feels like arthritis. But am more concerned about my Kidneys. Blood tests show my eGFR is low at 80

If you’re pregnant via IVF what happens next?
I might be jumping the gun but what typically happens next if you have a positive test after ivf? I know I’d have to email them and let them know my result but what are the next steps? Blood test? Scan? When would this happen via nhs? Also when can you normally get back to exercising?

Neuroendocrine cancer % in APC patients is not rare, it’s becoming common.
How do we help men, on this site, to reduce their chances of getting NEPC? I did a PSMA PET scan today. My blood tests looked pretty normal with psa at .5 and other tested looking like they usually do, except for blood glucose, which is normally in the 93-99 range for the past five years, but was 76

DHEA - UK question
Hi lovely people,Does anyone in the UK take DHEA or have done? I am still awaiting an appt with the clinic (and will be forever I think!) but my blood test testosterone result was 0.5 nmol/L which converts into 14.421 ng/dl (the US measure I think) and guidance online says anything below 25 ng/DL and

Transferrin?
Hello! I've been reading and learning so much here - so much knowledge and kindness... I've just got some blood tests back after 1 month on Levo and my TSH is down, T4 up and cholesterol down - yay! There are still some tests to come in, but I just noticed that my transferrin level is below range
