I'm looking to test Sodium, Potassium & Magnesium levels, as well as a full iron panel, Vit D, B12, Folate, thyroid hormones and sex hormones. I use Medichecks often for testing, but can't find a test that includes everything.
I've found a Medichecks test that includes everything but SHBG (I need this result), Sodium, Potassium & Thyroid Antibodies.
Any advice appreciated.
Thank you

Hi, I don't think you'll be able to get everything tested at once, it's very frustrating and complicated, as there are so many different hormone tests available.I recently got a Nutrition test done by Get tested. They tested Iron, selenium, zinc, magnesium, potassium, calcium, copper & sodium. They give you the level of each of these nutrients as well as the ratios between the different nutrients, eg copper and zinc ratio. I found this really helpful and highly recommend it. It's also done by finger prick.
I've just had my 1st private appt with the Thyroid clinic & the doctor asked me to get their blood tests done in future. They have a hormone one that includes SHBG, so it's maybe worth a look.
Thanks for this. Did the results help you tweak your nutrition/supplements, or understand your symptoms better? I'll look at it. Good luck on your journey.
Yes they were really helpful to me, in terms of adjusting my supplements and diet. Also I've taken some supplements for years and so I thought I might need to stop taking some, but the ones I thought would be too high were actually on the low side- selenium, zinc and magnesium. My calcium was very low but the thyroid doc said that this is due to my thyroid not working right and she reckoned that taking NDT with the Calcitonin would help. As I've been taking some supplements for a while, the results show that it looks like I'm not absorbing stuff well. The results provide a lot of information about each supplement and the ratios between supplements. I also wanted to check my copper to zinc ratio as I read in Paul Robinsons book that this can be linked to thyroid problems.
Thanks for replying. I'm glad the results are helping you to fine tune your supplements and diet. Have you tried synthetic thyroid hormones before choosing NDT?
Yes, I tried Levothyroxine and Liothyronin for just over a year, my quality of life and physical ability diminished since taking Levothyroxine. I just want to get my life back. I hope you get better too
