Cortisol serum blood test results, are they normal?
I’m sorry if this information is readily available on Q and A but I have been a headless chicken since being told I had an enlarged pituitary gland three weeks ago. So I am turning to my lovely caring supportive informed friends on this forum for information I can understand. The Endocrinologist has

Really upset with my GP
I had a telephone appointment with the GP today, I said as i will have been on 15mg for 3 weeks on Friday, I would like to go down to 12.5mg, so would need some 2.5mg tablets. He downright refused and said I have a blood test in 3 weeks and he will look at that and then decide what to do next. I told

Increased symptoms after injections.
I'm still trying to get my head around everything and I have a memory like a sieve regarding what I've read to date...I always have had so that's not necessarily due to the P.A. So after 18 years of 10 weekly injections I have now had one a week so far for the last 4 weeks as advised by a consultant.

you shouldn't BEGIN hrt. 😪 So, that's out of the question for me since

Thyroid levels advice for friend with newly dx Hashi and P.A please?
Hi, a friend has been supporting me in getting a Pernicious Anaemia diagnosis, as she also has it. She also has a recent Hashimoto's dx (like me, plus I'm hypothyroid too) but I've been trying to help her with it as it's all very new and overwhelming and she's been really ill with P.A for a long time

Had this blood test done in January and had text to say book a non urgent appointment and just put it off also getting print out from docs they’ve requested a telephone consultation which I’ve eventually booked but looking at it I know the TSH is low in their opinion and obviously cholesterol too high

Hidden Illness, a poem in anticipation of tomorrow's guidelines
In the crowded margins of society we live with silent sickness, ailing, slowly dying. With this illness there is no absent limb, cardiac arrest or stroke, not cancer nor a dread disease, but a disadvantaged sickness, fatal slow-burn like a quiet fizzing fuse, symptoms general and disabling.

Confused
I had the Monitor My Health advanced thyroid test and I shared them with my GP who said that because I’m already on Lego, the TPO test is irrelevant. My TPO result is 64 so if m already n Lego, isn’t that a concern? I’m experiencing symptoms such as weight gain, cold feet and hands, inflammations

Undiagnosed for too long
In a nutshell: Undiagnosed and not on medication Ultrasound scan showing autoimmune thyroiditis (not acknowledged or lost in system by GP practice) Latest blood tests: T4 is 9% through range Horrible symptoms Familial history TSH does not rise as T4 falls (TSH always within range) I have been waiting

Latest endo appointment. Will not increase T3 as TSH now low!!!!!
About 6 weeks ago, because of a change in make of liothyronine I made a mistake and instead of taking 2 x 10mcg tablets, I took 2 x 20mcg.When I realised, I anticipated the worst. However, I was fine, in fact more than fine. My prescribed dose was 30mcg daily. But, I started to take 20mcg twice daily

Uncooperative GP
My husband died in summer 2022 in hospital. At the time I was having very successful B12 loading injections for anaemia but after his death I was overwhelmed with work. I had asked the surgery not to use my mobile phone number (which they insisted on having) and use my landline instead but the GP

Possible Down's Syndrome after PGT-A testing
Hi all Looking for some advice from someone who has gone through the same or has knowledge of it. I am currently 18w5d pregnant with an IVF baby. I underwent PGT-A testing as I am 41 years old. I thought that with PGT-A testing, that all Chromosomal abnormalities would render the embryo aneuploid

I did PGT-A testing, could my unborn baby have down's syndrome?
I am currently 18 weeks 5 days pregnant following a successful IVF cycle. I undertook PGT-A testing as I am 41 years old. I got a call today from my midwife advising that my blood test has come back with a higher chance result for down's syndrome. I thought that as PGT-A testing was done and showed

Yellow eyes (symptoms)
I have most if not all the standard symptoms of hypothyroidism. I am diagnosed and on meds (recently just upped from 25mg to 50mg) However I have recently deteriorated in my symptoms which started before my uplift in meds, the 25mg was the first 3 months and got bumped up to the 50s after my first blood

anyone with AIT and Lichen Sclerosis?
hi there, does anyone on this wonderful forum also have Lichen Sclerosis? My Mum (85) is really suffering, she has followed all guidelines for 20+ years, had biopsies, used steroids as directed and special non soap washes. She isn’t diagnosed with AIT, but I inherited it from somewhere and she had

Pain at it's highest level (2)
Thanks so much to everyone who responded to my post 6 days ago, just having someone to hear me was a blessing on it's own. I managed to get to hospital 4 days ago and saw a doctor who was shocked that the inflammation level was very high in the blood tests they just done. 164.2, where as normal level

Some advice before a battle with GP!
Hi all, hoping someone on here can advise me on the best approach to take to get my GP to take action! Every blood test bar two that I have had over the last 5 years has shown high TSH, generally between 6 and 10, and always over the high reference range. However, despite several GP visits they refuse
