anyone else had genetic testing?
Hi well I’m back after a long break after previously having 2 BFN when we tried donor eggs with icsi. We’ve saved up again and decided to give it one last shot and this time the consultant recommended we try genetic screening before having any embryos implanted. Just wondered if there is anyone else

What changes did you make between Cycle 1 and 2?
BFN today following our one and only embryo transfer from Cycle 1, so beginning to think about our next (and last) cycle. It all started off quite well, 18 eggs collected but unfortunately only two fertilised via ICSI. I'm 39. But do have a 6 year old daughter from a previous relationship. We are having

Absolutely heartbroken 💔
Hi ladies, as the post says really my heart is shattered! A little bit more about my story, we had our first ever round of icsi and managed to get 2 good quality eggs which were then frozen, fast forward to 1 month later I had my egg transfer on the 20th of March and got told to take a test on the 2nd

ICSI and lifestyle changes - help
Hi everyone - I really need your amazing advice… My OH’s sperm sample results were great but we did the DNA frag test which came back high (there was a trial at our clinic). Our consultant told us to make lifestyle changes for 3 months and take impryl before our next round - which would be ICSI. I

using propranolol during pregnancy
Hi all, I very recently found out I am pregnant through ICSI , we are only 4weeks and 5 days. I take 80mg of propranolol daily for migraines. I'm a little cautious as I read it can get through the placenta? Does anyone have experience with this medication while being pregnant? Thank you

Any success stories with artificial egg activation (AOA)
We have had a review appointment following a failure double transfer but poor fertilisation rates with ICSI. Just wondering if anyone here has had this added to a round? It’s likely to be our final round given that it’s self funded and the stress of it all! Looking for some good stories 🤞🏻

*sensitive for some* Starting IVF again after IVF miscarriage
Hello all, First to say please skip this post if it isn't the right time for you to read for whatever reason. And if it is a bad time for you I send you my very best wishes. I'm just reaching out to find out how soon people began their next stimulated IVF cycle after miscarriage. Also, I'm a little

Antihistamine and probiotics
I have had long covid for 16 months now, and in the absence of any treatments on the horizon am thinking of trying antihistamine tablets and/or probiotic supplements. My RLS is currently much more controlled than it was, after iron infusion and am taking Gabapentin 400 mg- though insomnia still bad

To get signed off, or not to get signed-off, that is today's question!
Hi all - I posted something similar to this before, and I had lots of varied answers, but as my first round of IVF just failed I am wondering what I could do differently next time. I work in an unsupportive, busy Investment Banking environment, and I'm the only HR person so I cannot talk to myself ;

3 eggs on high dose, none fertilised
I'm 38 with a low egg reserve. I had my 1st cycle on the NHS and I was on protocol 9, which is their highest protocol. I was on 75 luveris and 375 gonal-f for a total of 18 days before I took my trigger and I had my retrieval on Monday there. They got 3 eggs, and the next morning I found out that 2 had

Tetanus booster shot, UK
In a response to a recent post, https://healthunlocked.com/cllsupport/posts/149590895/gardening-hazards?responses=149591131 I was alerted to the importance of being up to date with vaccination against Tetanus. ICSI risks?!
Last week my partner and I completed our first egg collection. Everything went well on my side; I was elated with my 20 eggs 💪 but the embryologist decided on the day to do ICSI instead of IVF due to my partners sperm. 7 fertilised the next day and they're now in the freezer until we're ready to transfer

Shingles Vaccine
I am going for a shingles vaccination on 29th June. I know there has been information about it on here before but I can't find it. I know I need the Shingrix vaccine and believe that you need a 2nd one 2 months later. I would like to hear about your experiences of Shingrix. . Of course, I have googled
