Gralise/ gabapentin will cause augmentation?
I have had RLS since I was a child and is has periodically made my life unbearable. After having been through augmentation many times, I was assured this was a good option. I am on 1800 mg daily and it works fairly well (RLS 75% improved) though I was successfully on Neurontin, also gabapentin, for

Bladder pain associated with IBS?
Hallo , I have had IBS most of my life, but not particularly troublesome until the last 3 years. I am now 72 and in the last 2 months have been visited with bladder pain and frequent urination at night. Also a feeling of lack of vigour or force in the bladder and it hurts more as it fills up rather

Vmat rapid arc radiotherapy
Has anyone got any experience of this? Scans at chemo 1 showed ongoing faint prostatic activity after 3 x Lu-177 and whilst on Degarelix My primary treatment to the prostate was HIFU so apart from early Lu-177 I have had no radiotherapy to the prostate. My London RO also has me lined up for radiotherapy

Third Jevtana/Carboplatin treatment completed. Total of 10 chemo treatments are now completed overall. Hoping for better results.
PSA increase as seen above. My oncologist's response was "This may be the roller coaster that your PSA is following We will continue to monitor the levels and symptoms" Seems to me the best part of the old wooden coaster was cresting the top of the climb and plunging to the bottom. Hopefully, my next

Catheter discovery
I have been having intermittent urinary difficulty due to radiation cyctitis and as a result of an ER malpractice. I never know if I will be able to pee will be peeing blood and tissue clumps and or if there will be pain. At least I have been able to self catheterize reliably. That said I would prefer

Pred Before Surgery
I am due to have replacement hip surgery soon and one of the instructions pre op is not to have anything to drink that contains milk 6 hours before my admittance time of 7.30am. I am having a spinal block, not general anaesthetic. I normally have my pred about 7am with a yoghurt so what is your advice

Urinary urgency 9yr old
My daughter has had urinary urgency since January and prior to that has had episodes of it over the past two years, lasting weeks-months. She's doesn't have any wetting day or night and sleeps through the night with no toilet visits. If relaxed at home, she doesn't seem to feel it but as soon as in car

1st post. 1st line of tx ending? Looking into next best step.
I have read, and learned, and thought about much thru this site. We are investigating new line of treatment and would appreciate any new lines to follow. Are scheduled for PSMA PET 3/21 and want to be informed before MO appoint 3/24. Depending on scan results options seem to be 1) if 1 spot radiate

Anyone have any info or experience with Dr. Gary Onik and his Immunotherapy?
Does anyone know how his immunotherapy compares to Provenge and Car-T? His treatment is all private pay and is upward of $60k. We do whatever we need to to get that if we knew there was a good chance of helping. What are the potential downsides of immunotherapies? Do the side effects of these therapies

Is Getting Dismissed as a Patient an Embarrassment or Rite of Passage?
Is Getting Dismissed as a Patient an Embarrassment or Rite of Passage? I wasn't being rude. In the lobby waiting to be seen by my surgeon another patient was recording her "plastic surgery journey" as the Ear Nose Throat surgeons also do the cosmetic surgeries. As a cancer patient, I'm not comfortable

What about my dad's prostate treatment?
Hello, My father is 53 years old and 3 years ago his PSA was 5.3. As a result of the biopsy, ASAP was found in only two foci. Other foci were clear. After 3 years (2022), each PSA was 24 as a result of increased infection. As a result of the biopsy, cancer was detected in 8 foci and the score was 5+

The bad news: There is new active metastasis at the bottom of my sternum and my prostate is showing new mild uptake.
