[Fentanyl effects on glutamate and GABA release rates from anterior hypothalamus] and [Fentanyl inhibits GABAergic neurotransmission]
A week ago I had surgery under general anesthesia. I was given propofol and fentanyl. My neuromuscular function has worsened. I've had propofol before without problems. What happened this time? I suspect fentanyl inhibition of GABA progressed my ALS. The NMDA receptor and the gamma-aminobutyric acid

Can I take my 112mg levothyroxine first thing in the morning and at the same time as my 5mg Felodipine? (Blood pressure tablets)
Hi everyone, I usually take my levothyroxine on its own at about midnight. However, I possibly now need to take sleep aid tablets at night, so I am thinking of changing times and taking my levothyroxine first thing in the morning instead. However, first thing in the morning I have to take my high blood

First reoccurrence chemotherapy not worked
Hi, so my sister had a reoccurrence after a month and went onto have six weekly one hour sessions of chemotherapy. After five sessions CT has been done. CA125 markers are up. Chemotherapy hasn’t worked so that has been stopped. I will be seeing her consultant tomorrow with her. I have put to him that

Hypothyroidism is prevalent among adult women with chronic lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS)
A very recent paper with a potentially important indicator of hypothyroidism. My conclusion is that chronic LUTS should automatically be given a full thyroid panel (unless already diagnosed hypothyroid). One third is a very large proportion. Also, need to consider the current treatment of those who

I am in absolute pain this weekend.
I really need some input, I am currently between my first and 2nd dose of Lu 177. My last PSA was 3 weeks ago, had risen to 63 from 1.6 two months prior. I am currently taking percocet 5 325 mg and went back on dexamethadone 2 mg every 12 hours. Yesterday I doubled up on oxy I had spoken to my care

Gestational hypertension, induce?
I'm 37 weeks and recently I was diagnosed with gestational hypertension resulting in two hospital stays and tablets. I'm going for a scan monday and then seeing my consultant again thursday. If the tablets work they say I can keep on as I am. But they may want to induce me if they don't or induce me

Re: urination problems
Dear members, I trust your knowledge more than my dad’s urologist for some reason he only takes 5 mins to evaluate my dad’s health and doesn’t even give me enough time to ask questions. My dad has been using the catheter for around a year, he tried to remove it twice but was in pain and unable to urinate

Can anyone shed some light on this subject?
I have posted numerous pieces on my incontinence issues, and I 'may' have stumbled onto something interesting. I have been dealing with constipation for some time now, and finally decided to see a gastroenterologist at a great hospital here in Thailand. Because of my age, PCa history, and not having
