Heartrate
I have just started wearing a smart watch and cannot stop checking my heartrate. I am on 1.25mg of Bisoprolol which I have been taking for over a year. This was for an episode of AF. My resting heartrate is around 55. Sometimes at night whilst asleep it is as low as 45. Is this acceptable? I feel OK

Bisoprolol 1.25 dosage. Coming off it?
Bisoprolol? I am on a very low dosage, 1.25 ml., and have been for more than a year. Over past months I have felt incredibly tired (sleeping for too long overnight/having naps during the day) and have been totally lacking in energy with no real interest (I don’t feel depressed) to move myself. On monitoring

Arterial fibrillation
I had gallbladder problems 2 years ago, ended up in hospital with sepsis for a week. All ok, however, I contacted arterial fibrillation. Put on rivaroxaban and 5mg of bisoprolol. Back in August 22 I was rushed in with breathing difficulties. My dose of bisoprolol was increased to 6.5mg and all seems

Reply to kind comments from other members re my post on breathlessness etc
hi everyone …thankyou for very kind posts…they were great fully received..I don’t think generally the public at large realise what AF is about and until you are unfortunate to acquire it (For wont of a better word) how debilitating it is. Further to my post earlier I saw the Rythm consultant today who

2 weeks after ablation - ectopics going a bit crazy!
had a PFA ablation almost three weeks ago. First week was ok, the odd ectopic, but now the ectopics / palpitations are happening almost constantly, worse after food and at night when lying down. Doctor tells me things should settle down soon. Doesn’t feel that way right now! I take bisoprolol and flecainide

Resistant Hypertension
Never had hypertension before starting Zytiga. BP and pulse rate. increased. Taking 5mg prednisone a day. MO reluctant to increase. Can't find study to back up increasing prednisone. Fair BP and pulse rate control on bisoprolol, losartan and amlodipine. Doing so well on Zytiga, really rather not

hi all, I,m feeling a bit confused.
I had HA and 1 stent (LAD) in Oct 2020. At the time my ef was 37% . I was told this was the only blockage but left with some damage to my heart. In march last year I had a heart scan and recieved a letter in May stating my heart was nearly back to normal, great news. Then in December I started to get

Hi from another Newbie
First time posting though I have been following this great site for a little while. Thanks to all the administrators, volunteers and contributors I have learned so much more about AF, it's treatment, and it's real-life impact on fellow sufferers. I also realise how lucky I am compared to some on the

A lot is all in the mind
I’ve had a stent and a bout of persistent AF in the last few months, had Cardioversion to sort the At. The Cardiologist asked me to reduce Bisoprolol,so last night was the first time I didn’t take it (just taking 3.7mg in the mornings now)I suppose I had some anxiety in the back of my mind going to bed

switch from sotalol (80 mg x2) to bisoprolol and flecanide 50 mg x2
has anyone made this change? I was on Bisoprolol and Fleca for years then my cardio decided to put me on sotalol, I’m in afib everyday for 24 hours with just 2 days off. Sotalol bothers my stomach and I want to go back to bisoprolol and Fleca now as PIP. With bisoprolol the main drug keeping things

stay positive….
Hi everyone. After having A.Fib for almost two years I had a cardioversion done on the 15 Dec last supported by six months on Amiodarone. My heart rate is now in Normal Sinus Rhythm and so far all's good. Had the Bisoprolol reduced from 3.75 twice a day to 1.25 twice a day and feel a lot more comfortable

Travelling with Afib
Hello all. I've had 3 episodes of paroxysmal afib, each time reverting back to sinus rythym in a few hours. I've had a normal 24hr monitor and echocardiogram, but I do have pre-existing CAD with 5 stents. Since the 1st episode I've taken edoxoban and my bisoprolol has been increased from 5mg to 6.25mg
