Chest Heaviness for a month
Hi, I had a long trip this Feb. After coming back, I had a bit of chest heaviness. It's not left but instead slowly getting worse. I've been calling cardiology, my GP, the BHF nurses, went to A&E and have had very little help. Honestly, right now, I don't care about figuring out what it is, I just

Bisoprolol
Managed to get a message to my GP about Bisoprolol making me so tiered, didn’t do much good had a text from the surgery that a pharmacist from the surgery was going to phone me, when he phoned me he just said there is no good changing beta blockers because they all make you tiered, I’m not very happy

Flax Seeds and A-fib
Hi everyone, I was thinking of introducing milled flax seeds in to my diet as a health thing after watching a programme on them. However, after doing a Google search I am finding that certain sites are pointing towards it not being a good thing when on Anticoagulants. I’m on Apixiban,Bisoprolol and digoxin

Symptoms when have an AF episode
Hello, I'm 75 and had confirmation of having AF last year, after suffering from it for over 4 years - being told it was Panic Attacks and Stress. Was relieved as I was finally put on the correct medication for AF. Had been on Propanolol, which didn't do a lot, apart from feeling tired most of the time

AF getting worse
After 11 years of AF, up until last year it was couple of times a year, now since December has ramped up, until last week when I am getting them every 48 hours. This is taking its toll physically and mentally. I am on the waiting list for an ablation as we are not sure the Flecainide is working as

Weird follow up
Thanks for everyone who replied to my weird post, however I obviously wasn't clear in it and everyone kind of missed the point. The point I was trying to make was that although I have reduced my bisoprolol dose from 5mg to 2.5 my BP has gone down and my tiredness has increased. Thats what I thought

High Blood Pressure linked to higher dose of Flecainide ?and hot flushes & arterial disease ?
Hi all, I was put on 100mg dose of Flecainide every 12 hours. I actually take 50mg in the day & 100mg at night, I also take 2.5mg Bisoprolol. So far so good re PAF but my blood pressure has got very high. I felt weird one day & checked it, & the top figure was 163. Obviously made an GP appointment &

Exercise suggestions/plans/videos for Afib
It’s been awhile since I posted, although I do check the forum every day, so I have been following all the usual suspects and new arrivals. I was diagnosed at 65 in 2020 with PAF and really struggled to come to terms with my diagnosis as it was mid pandemic and also my mother had the same condition

weird
Saw my heart consultant last wk told him about cold feet and tiredness he thought coming off bisoprolol would help. Reduce my dosage from 5mg to 2.5 for fornight. so I've done that for last 3 days and what's weird is my BP has dropped from average 124/80 to 117/73, not earth shattering but strange

Update
Well....the nurse very cleverly gave me my beta blocker this morning before the consultant came round so he couldnt put me on the treadmill as planned. Sending me home with an increase in isosorbide and bisoprolol and an urgent referral for angiogram which will hopefully take no more than 2-3 weeks.

Dental fillings
Hello. I have just had a dental filling fall out and so will need to go and get it replaced. I haven't been to the dentist since my diagnosis of AF and nobody mentioned anything about precautions to me. I am currently on 1.25 bisoprolol, edoxaban and an anti-arrhythmic medicine (bepricol) which I think
