Managed to get a message to my GP about Bisoprolol making me so tiered, didn’t do much good had a text from the surgery that a pharmacist from the surgery was going to phone me, when he phoned me he just said there is no good changing beta blockers because they all make you tiered, I’m not very happy but I suppose I will have to stick with the Bisoprolol

Pat👍🏻

Hi Pat

When do you take your bisoprolol and at what dose? Some people find it better to take it at night before going to bed. Makes me see red hearing what your GP said to you!!!

I wouldn't be happy with that response either. I am having a yearly diabetic check later this month and am going to ask they reduce my 5 mgs to 2.5 and if they will reduce my statin from 80 mgs to 40 mg. Yes, I am going to ask, as I have learned a lot on here and I think I should have the chance to see what happens without killing myself.

Ido not feel tired on Bisoprolol.Taking 2.5 am and 2.5 pm for 2 years.I think the pharmacist is lazy and does not want to put his mind to exploring alternatives for you.

Dear You,

What absolute rubbish your practice has told you, I read your post and the hairs { I have many } on the back of my neck stood up.

How dare they tell you that there is nothing else on offer other than the cheapest drug of its kind available to you.

You cannot continue like this as your quality of life is being compromised over someones lazy and I mean LAZY approach to your health care.

If you can contact your Heart Nurse / Cardiologist dept to state you case,

E/mail your surgery, they have to reply within a certain time and it will leave a paper trial.

I am so sorry you have to go though this after all you have been though , but this is typical of a busy surgery palming off their responsibilities .

You have to fight your corner and we are with you all the way.

Take care and don't suffer anymore { Please }

Hi Pat I had a terrible time with tiredness when I started taking Bisoprolol cardiologist changed the times I took it that didn’t work . Then split the amount I took to some am and the rest pm that didn’t work. Thought about getting me to take it at night but said pointless as your body needs it during the day when your out and about not so much when your asleep, but now thankfully I no longer suffer with the tiredness I guess my body just got used to the drug.

Hi ya, Sorry to trouble you, you said that you took Bisoprolol had a lot of tieredness tried lots of other things but eventually your body got used to it, just a question how long was you taking it when the tieredness started to get better,

Take care

Don’t be fobbed off with that rubbish. There are many alternative drugs you can take. I cannot tolerate lots of the drugs. My pharmacist told me a drug should make you feel better and if it doesn’t ask the doctor to change it. It was trial and error with me and took a long time. What they have said to you is unacceptable, so put your foot down and demand some help, either from your doctor, or ask to be referred to your Cardiologist. You should not have to feel like this.

Hello :-)

Sorry to hear this and you would have been better talking with your Doctor but they seem to some of them pass you on to others now instead as they did you

I am on them and they make me tired I try and focus on the benefits though even though I find that hard sometimes

Have you been discharged yet from your Consultant if not you could talk with them about it as they are really the best to decide if a change is possible but if you have been discharged know you are not the only one they make feel this way

You are here though Pat and the weather is getting better so hopefully that might help you I really hope it does :-) x

Talking therapy is not going to bad second session this Thursday, finding it hard to worry for 20 minutes a day only, but I think it’s all to do with the operation the tiredness I have at the moment the medication, it is just the mornings once I’m out of bed I’m not to bad,

Thank you for asking

Take care

Pat👍🏻xxx

Hello :-)

What they suggest does not come easy but if you keep practising it can do then and as that was just your first session hopefully it will be more helpful as it goes on :-) x
