Well....the nurse very cleverly gave me my beta blocker this morning before the consultant came round so he couldnt put me on the treadmill as planned. Sending me home with an increase in isosorbide and bisoprolol and an urgent referral for angiogram which will hopefully take no more than 2-3 weeks. At least we should know if anything needing doing or an increase in meds was alll that was required.

Hello :-)

Sorry things didn't go quite to plan after you have been in there waiting but at least you now have an urgent referral for that angiogram and not long to wait

I hope you let us know when you get your appointment and how it goes

Thank you for letting us know and have a lovely weekend :-) x

I will do thanks. I will probably also be back on for reassurance beforehand as my one and only experience with angiogram/angioplasty was a life-saving emergency one which left me a bit bruised and battered but very grateful! My cousin who is a cardiac nurse has assured me that things are much more gentle and unhurried when you're not about to die on them if they don't get in there quickly🙈

Hello :-)

You come on for reassurance whenever you need it :-)

If it helps I am a nervous wreck literally and after trying to take me down for an angiogram after my first heart attack I had the biggest panic attack they said to my Husband we cannot do it she is far to anxious

2 more heart attacks later I knew I needed one done still the same nervous wreck and yes I had some sedative but do you know I did it and feel such a idiot for waiting and having 2 more heart attacks before I did

I hardly felt a thing honestly , the Nurses talked to me all the way through and next minute it was done so if I can do it anyone can and you will to this time it is not an emergency so they have more time to support you and you will be fine :-) x
