Stent not relieving angina symptoms - so far
Last year I began to get mild burning in my chest and back when walking. So angina was suspected. I was put onto aspirin, statin, bisoprolol and ranolazine and they seemed to greatly reduce the problem. I had a heart scan which detected a significant blockage in my LAD. So
last week
I got a stent

Stomach upsets.
Hi everyone. Had a "minor " heart attack 12 months ago. Angiogram revealed I needed an urgent triple bypass. Kept me in for the op which apparently went well, but I had post op AF which was resolved before I was discharged. I've always struggled with anxiety, so suffered badly for about 6 months. Doing

7 Week Review after CABG
7 weeks since I had the CABG x 4... went in for a review with my consultant. Soooo glad I had read up on here, and had the Cardio Rehab assessment beforehand, and had made notes of the questions a needed answers too. It was brutally efficient - [i]yep your op was a success, you can do anything, and

Hi Everyone, - I would like to hear other member's experience with this drug, Various members of the medical profession play a sort of pharmaceutical Chess game with my BP, in which I am the pawn! Blood Pressure
It has been a week since I got my blood pressure monitoring machine. I've been keeping track of the results. I'm on 5mg of Bisoprolol for tachycardia but it also lowers my blood pressure which is an undesirable effect. My BP before Bisoprolol was close to 120/80. Anyway I've been taking one reading

Ablation for atrial flutter?
Hi all, I’m Fran. I’m using my hubby’s account, who has had AF for about 9 years and has appreciated the wisdom found here. I’d be very grateful for your thoughts on my Atrial Flutter as I’ve found it very difficult to get the advice I feel I need. (I hope this post isn’t too long, you might want to

What would you expect?
Hi Everyone, Just thought I’d ask here as the help I’ve received on here has been invaluable. Since my Cardioversion in Jan 2022 I have been in a sinus rhythm. I was originally told prior to the Cardioversion that if 6 months after I’m still in a sinus rhythm. I would be able to come off the edoxaban

Tachycardia
Hi. After six months clear of af it suddenly came back last month. It seems to bother me every day since. I’m on Bisoprolol 10 and flecainide 50.x 2. Also became tachycardic. Spoke to gp who agreed I could increase flecainide to 2 x 100. Made me very breathless so reduced it again. I’m mostly tachycardic

Ticagrelor 51 weeks on
As you'll gather from the subject, I've been taking 90mg of Ticagrelor Twice day since being discharged after my heart attack at the end of July last year. It's been explained to me why you typically only take Ticagrelor for a year - (and I'm scheduled to stop next week) but my question is, am I likely

BISOPROLOL FUMERATE 5MG
Hi guys and gals, I have some questions on the above - if any of you extraordinary people can give me simple, unambiguous answers, would be good. BACKGROUND I was put on this by the Cardiac Consultant (name witheld) at East Surrey Hospital when he confirmed the diagnosis of paroxysmal AF in January

To ablate or not to ablate?
I have paroxysmal AF, diagnosed in early 2020, on 5 mg bisoprolol and Edoxaban. I am highly symptomatic when I have an event, with fast heart rate, strong palpitations, heart feeling as though it will escape from my chest, but no dizziness etc. and this can last for up to 12 hours before it reverts

Got myself a BP measuring machine
I’m on Bisoprolol 5mg and just checked my blood pressure, it was around 100/64 which I’m led to believe is ok. My GP did say it was a “bit low” last time I saw him when deciding whether to increase the dose from 2.5mg to 5mg.
