I met the Nephrologist, he looked over my labs (I brought a bunch of previous labs for him as well), we talked about symptoms, we talked about some known issues with my kidneys. He then said something that has been said many times on this forum, but rarely said by a doc. He said that I am barely 3a and that with some lifestyle changes, and maybe some meds, it can be reversed back to stage 2. I'm 59, but he said my age still had a bit to do with where the numbers were landing. He is running a ton of tests and depending on what comes back, it might be biopsy time, or it might be to just eat better and exercise (get rid of some weight). He did say that I will need to have regular appointments to monitor where I'm at. So, overall, great news.

That is great news. Thanks for sharing. You know what you need to do and I'm sure you will get it done.
TheSQLGuy,
Fantastic news! It's a lifestyle change rather than a diet and a few adjustments!
You can do it - we are all behind you!

Good for you, TheSQLGuy ✅
And more congrats on getting an honest dr.
Keep us up-to-date on your progress.
That is great news!!
Great to hear that some docs are switched on, particularly to nutrition and lifestyle benefits. Sadly mum's nephro has never even asked how she has made improvements (natural means) so can't pass it on to other patients
Great news for you. You have a good doctor if he realizes that diet and exercise can keep you from needing a transplant. Good luck!
That is Great news !
That is great news! I too am 3a and wanting to learn what I can now. What tests is your doc running at this point in time?
