Bloodwork is stable, watchful waiting, stage 1(ish).What's the chance that the bone marrow biopsy will show anything different or additional?
Memorial Sloan Kettering Dr says we can do a bone marrow
biopsy
and some mutation/genetic testing? Am I wasting my time? Or should I do it to get more peace of mind?

Awful chronic nausea
They also took a
biopsy
of a polyps. Looking theses condition up, they all link them to not just the nausea but also acid reflux and heartburn, neither of which I have.

FIB4 Test
The fibrosis 4 (FIB4) index is a liver fibrosis biomarker that is a potential alternative to liver
biopsy
for diagnosing and managing liver disease. The primary outcome was the number of individuals within each risk category for hepatic fibrosis: high risk (FIB4 ≥ 3.25) and low risk (FIB4 < 1.3).

Dad with Stage 4 PCa - Need some words of wisdom...again please!
A liquid
biopsy
was carried out last week, waiting on results for BRCA2 (to see if he qualifies for olaparib (Lynparza®).

Biopsy gone wrong
I wrote about a second
biopsy
required. This one was MRI directed. I was informed by Tall Allen that there was perennial
biopsy
that had less side effect and less risk. I asked my urologist about this. He said that recent studies show they both have about the same risk of infection.

Endometriosis and breast fibroadenomas
I had a breast
biopsy
last August due to a pea size lump in my breast which turned out to be a fibroid however since then I’ve had endo excision surgery, taken progesterone and sadly had two miscarriages. The lump is now doubled in size and is quite painful.

Welcome to Stage Denial
As of November 3rd, after a
biopsy
, MRI, and Pet/CT Scan, the diagnosis is stage IVA prostate cancer with lesions showing up in a nearby lymph node. Great!

Anagrelide (Agrylin)
Got a second opinion (still no MPN specialist - another well respected hematologist/oncologist), plus a bone marrow
biopsy
and additional blood tests. Resulted in same diagnosis. Now on Agrylin...just started. I don't understand why this is not the first course of action.

PSA 4.5, 9% free PSA, 65 yo
Consensus guidance seems to be that
biopsy
is indicated if free PSA <10%. Is there reason to wait?

How was your Ovarian cancer diagnosed?
Surely they need to do a
biopsy
or an MRI? So my question is, what was the very first point at which suspected ovarian cancer arose for you, and what diagnostics were user to get a definitive diagnosis? I feel like they're fobbing me off to be honest.

My Condition and OP - Update.
After the op which is a Diagnostic cystoscopy and a
biopsy
in four quadrants of my bladder. Then the consultant and MDT will then decide what they think should happen next .......

A plea from your brother
During the first few weeks after an MRI and
biopsy
confirmed what I feared, most of what I heard sounded like spoken English, but for me, it required more than Google Translate could offer. Amidst this cacophony, Malecare emerged as a source of stability and compassion.
