Reversion mutation - BRCA2
I recently had a Guardant360 CDx liquid
biopsy
that showed my BRCA2 inherited mutation, previously treated with Olaparib successfully for two years, is now classified as a reversion mutation. Prior to finding out this result, I had hoped that I could re challenge the use of Olaparib.

Time to challenge SOC?
In 2015 I was Gleason 7 (3+4) in 11 out of 11
biopsy
cores. From my reading of current info, I have a 1.5cm nodule in there somewhere. 2) I have half a dozen pelvic lymph mets, and one "a bit higher up".

Food question
I am not sure which stage I am as I am too scared to get the
biopsy
. I am guessing its an early stage as my bilirubin and albumin are in the normal range and my doctor said so far my liver is ok.

It is too late for imaging for GCA?
I had a positive temporal artery
biopsy
which confirmed the diagnosis. In fact, the ophthalmologist who performed the
biopsy
said "hmmmm, I've done quite a few of these and I can already tell you this artery is inflamed." Of course, it was confirmed in the lab.

Rationale for blind radiation to the bed of the prostate
Wife would like to ask what the rationale is for SRT without a
biopsy
or any kind of imaging. My psa went from .08 on 1/17/22 after almost 3 years of undetectable psa.. Most recent psa was .21 on 8/5/22.

Does anyone have experience with Enhertu? I was HER2 - low in 2019 and my last liver biopsy was HER2 - 0. Planning to start Enhertu next.
In May 2022 my liver
biopsy
came back ER positive, PR negative and HER2 - zero. Thanks, Esther

Laparoscopy oophorectomy
I now have a 2 week wait for results of endometrioma and omental
biopsy
, if positive then I will have a radical hysterectomy in 2 weeks.I have never had a lap before but I have bruising at top of inside of my legs, I know the surgeon had to make an extra incision because the cyst had attached itself

Using Lupron for diagnostic tool????
Was wondering why you couldnt use a 1 month lupron injection for diagnostic testing for a guy who had a clean
biopsy
twice, had PSA going up and down over time around 10. I know its not SOC. but what is the harm in giving the injection and see if the PSA drops significantly?

Did anyone on this Board ever test positive (through punch
biopsy
) for Lichen Sclerosis? If so, any helpful suggestions?

Blood In Stool Relief
They took a
biopsy
to figure out what’s triggering it so they can decide how to treat it. It sucks but I was very relieved to find out what was wrong with me. I knew it wasn’t nothing, but I also knew not to wait. So if you’re reading this stop googling.

Fusion Biopsy Results - GC5 - Gleason 9 (4 + 5)
Greetings, Just got my
biopsy
results via my medical portal. Not good. GC5 - Gleason 9 (4 +5) I have an appointment with the PA on Friday (in 2 days). A little bit in shock as it happened all so fast but also clear eyed.

Scared about lung nodules
I think they may have to keep monitoring it and worst case scenario,
biopsy
? Anyone with similar experiences to share and perhaps give me a small bit of comfort would be greatly appreciated. ♥️

recent biopsy
I have had trouble for a while, vitilgo, lichen sclerosis, and a recent
biopsy
confirmed I have lichen sclerosis and morphoea in the same lesion. My dr told me to read up on the condition. I have learnt that scleroderma is a umberella term and there is systemic sclerosis and localised scleroderma.

HDRT Recommended for stage 7 and 8 cancer found in seminal vesicles
After repeated biopsies cancer was found in November. My PSA is now over 14 I have completed all scans including new MRI’s and cystoscopy no other cancer has been found. I had my first Firgamon injection today and waiting for what comes next. My doctor is one of the best from MSCC and I do have confidence

A few questions and advice desperately needed here , only one shot at this please help
Biopsy
came back saying group 5 cancer most aggressive and quickest spreading (Gleason score 9)240mg of firmagon started followed by 80mg every month to come. This is not paired with anything else. 2. Oncologist my father met for first time today.

Suspicious Thyroid nodule
I had a fine needle
biopsy
and at the time they just told me nothing to worry about it’s not cancer but we want to check it again in 9 months to be safe. 9 months later I’m currently 26 weeks pregnant and I’ve just had my 2nd fine needle
biopsy
.

very informative talk on bone marrow biopsy
I found this talk to be very informative; I wish it had been filmed to a better standard and that the slides were visible for longer, but Dr. Wendy Erber is excellent at explaining the terms and the details of bone marrow . https://youtu.be/Gz1q34Wfm_k
