Reversion mutation - BRCA2

HopingForTheBest1 profile image

I recently had a Guardant360 CDx liquid biopsy that showed my BRCA2 inherited mutation, previously treated with Olaparib successfully for two years, is now classified as a reversion mutation. Prior to finding out this result, I had hoped that I could re challenge the use of Olaparib. Unfortunately, this is no longer an option.

Has anyone experienced a reversion mutation, and how did it affect your treatment(s)?

This is great, although very technical. I have forwarded it on to my MO. Thanks so much.

I was just genetic tested BRCA2 positive this week, will be treated with Olaparib next week, can you please advise what side effect it will have, will it bring PSA down (current PSA 1.2).

Olaparib brought my PSA to undetectable within a few weeks, and lasted 18 months. No significant side effects, manageable.
