I am on 20mg of atorvastatin and I understand that's not good for RLS. I'm sure I've read in the past that there is a statin that is ok for us sufferers but can't remember the name. Could anyone help with that please.

Hi, I recently had a fall and as a result I went to hospital where blood tests, X-rays and scan were done. I had 2 broken ribs. But the blood test results came directly to my phone. One of the tests were ‘out of range’ the mmol/l cholesterol result was 0.8. My question is the very low cholesterol good

Another meds review (statins)
Just had another meds review with the GP Clinician/Pharmacist. He is pretty certain I am showing signs of statin intolerance. I stopped Rosuvastatin last week owing to awful leg pains which hsve subsided since stopping. He did explain that for someone with history of HA that statins were important but

Atorvastatin
I had been resisting my GPs' calls to take statins for some years having pointed out to them that although they were saying a total cholesterol level around 6 was too high the ratio of HDL to LDL was good. About eighteen months ago I acquiesceded and started taking Atorvastatin. However, l was hospitalised

Anxiety
Hi, I'm 67 and was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in my early 50s. A couple of years ago I was started on Atorvastatin for raised cholesterol and suffered anxiety, which went away when I came off the medication. I was then started on Rosuvastatin and after a few months developed anxiety again. However

Statin Side Effects
Hi I have been on statins for many years now and for about 12 months I have been feeling quite generally unwell occasionally. Mainly weak, achy, shaky & sometimes upset stomach. I’ve had blood tests & calcium levels are found to be raised. GP said that statins wouldn’t cause high calcium levels,

Seven years ago, I had a quintuple bypass and a heart valve reconstruction. I am on atorvastatin atenolol lisinopril tamsulosin finasteride. My lab work of these years has been kept in the green for the most part. I’ve been hearing a lot lately about how statins have side effects, and how cholesterol

Gout - why fish protein but not beer?
I’d like to thank you for the comments so far but we really are not getting close to an answer. Here’s hoping. I’m not talking high purine fish, I’m talking fish that’s often regarded as safe. I’ve been getting gout attacks for over 12 months. The first put me in hospital but since then these have

hypothyroidism and cholesterol
I was diagnosed as hypo in 2019 following a routine blood test. I had no symptoms that I was aware of and noticed no changes after TSH and T4 values were normalised with 75mcg Levothyroxine. Test results in 2019 were TSH 22.9 (0.4 - 4.0) T4 8.6 (9 - 25) Subsequent readings vary but average 2 and

AF and statins
Hello.I’d appreciate some advice. Four years ago I had atrial flutter. I had cardioversion and was put on blood thinners and BP meds. In the last few months it has returned as PAF. My ECG watch goes red every other day for hours or days. It can come on its own or be triggered by exercise. When exercising
