Happy World Lupus Day
Hello everyone I hope you all haven't got too much 'cuteness overload' with all the lovely Spring Births!. I couldn't resist these dancing lambs at Bleinham Palace probably getting excited at the Queen's forthcoming Platinum Jubilee!. I do hope you enjoy them too. Hope your all as well as possible and

Gallstones
Does anyone know how long the wait is for gallstones surgery? I'm 19 and have been struggling with server pain for over 9 weeks. I have my bloods booked and a ultrasound to confirm as I was first diagnosed with a stomach ulcer. I have a 10 week old baby and I'm terrified to get the pain when he needs

Gallbladder interaction with inflammation, and our PMR and RA.
Hi, just want to mention that I fought with my gallbladder this week and I believe the Hospital won the lottery with my money but that's another story in America, two trips to an Emergency Room and One stay of two days to get gallstone removed and only $13,000, no insurance so they make it cheaper than

Gallbladder Op
Just wondering if anyone has had a gallbladder op recently. I’ve been on the list since November 2020. Gallstone now 80mm and common bile duct affected. Sick of not being able to eat properly and the fear of pain returning. I’m in Wales. Anyone been successful being seen?

Alpha fetoprotein test for cirrhosis patients??
Hi, is it standard for this test to be done every 6 months with the liver scan? I've just had my bloods done (post liver scan and pre consultant appointment) and spotted that I have been tested for this for the first time and the results are hidden from my Patient Knows Best account ... should I be worried

Why do you need cholesterol?
These
bile
salts
are then stored in the gallbladder. Cholesterol is found in every cell of your body and is a necessary component of a healthy brain that needs to store and recall memory, process ideas, and function at its highest level.

Test and Trace?
Daft question perhaps, but is Test and Trace still in operation? I thought all that was finished with until today when I received a text message purporting to be from the NHS. It said I'd been in contact with an infected person, and that I should order a PCR test. I'm reluctant to click on the link,

Hi all Well what a week that was had a ERCP on the transplanted liver graft , which I received pre covid thank goodness in March 2019 So had a stent put in on a narrowed bile duct and to say it hurt is an understatement, they sedated me but the pain was almost unbearable to a degree that I nearly had

Severe pain liver area
Does anyone out there experience severe liver area pain, like very pronounced pain. can push on lower ribs on the side and it hurts bad. Hurts when stretching, etc. all labs and scans have come back clean except for a dilated bile duct. Looking for anyone with similar symptoms that have found relief

My story
I haven’t been on in awhile but wanted to update everyone. My liver specialist from the liver institute Methodist hospital told me this morning was our last visit unless I needed him again. I retired from ER nursing in 2017 bc I was diagnosed with pbc and possibly nrh according to the pathology report

Ama positive negative m2
Hi, I am male and have recently received a positive ama, but negative for ama-m2. I had the tests due to elevated AST after taking allouprinol. ALP is normal. I have been referred to a specialist and I am waiting on some tests. I understand ama-m2 is specific to PBC, but what's the likely outcome for

Anyone had blocked bile duct with no pain?
Hi, can I ask if anyone has had a blocked bile duct with no pain? Last Saturday I had the pain, but it passed, but I then had very pale stool (beige) and started turning yellow on Thursday, I had liver function tests done on the Wednesday, came back abnormal, more bloods today, and now scans tomorrow

Confused about fibroscan and lft
A couple of years ago I volunteered for a research programme for NAFLD, then because of covid it was postponed. Had a call a couple of weeks ago to start the process again. I went for a fibroscan 2 weeks ago and was given a result of 328 and 20.3 and was told I would be ideal for their NASH research

Gallstones
Hi , I’m experiencing bloating along with pain on my right side neck, shoulder and breast. And also under my right breast ribs. But no abdominal pain. This is been there for 2 weeks and my gp said it is gastritis. The pain is kind of dull. Just wondering if anyone had dull kind of pain on their right

Stones in Bile Duct
Hi, I’m new here so bear with me if this has been asked previously (and please feel free to point me in the right direction of where to find the info) As per my bio, I had my gallbladder removed in 2009, but continue to suffer with reoccurring stones in my bile duct every 2 years which results in me

Private Fibroscan enquiry.
So I posted a few weeks ago about having a Fibroscan done privately, and I have enquired. 40 minute consultation while the Fibroscan is being done with the consultant is £550.00. Well I think this is amazing ,to have the consultant doing it in real time and asking questions and getting the results instantly
