Thoughts on the underlying causes of Thyroid disease
I have had hypothyroidism only since having a major operation which triggered the illness. I later discovered I actually had Lyme disease and did not need the op in the first place. I privately funded Lyme treatment at great cost and involving several courses of IV antibiotics after which I felt totally

I'm sorry I cannot individually thanks everyone individually 4 such wonderful good warm wishes for tomorrow and my surgery. I do want to say I cannot even imagine going through life without the surgery. You are all wonderful. Talk to you on the flip side!

Tomorrow is my day! The laundry is done, floors are swept, my clients are taken care of until later next week, and my daughter will be here from out of town this afternoon. I am at peace. No regrets about anything. Merry Christmas songs and the William Tell Overture are running through my mind!

Biotin, the vitamin most of us take, cause some interference in regular blood test, immunoassay. We shoud stop one week before blood work.
I read 2 articles about little changes in results from blood test because biotin is part of the components of the immunoassay and we are taking high dose causing little changing in the results, in all kind of tests. I was curious about my thyroid test, then I decided to search. Its being suggesting

"Those post symptoms you are experiencing couldnt possibly be related to meningitis" Yeah right!!
It always makes me so frustrated when Dr's think none of our problems stem from post meningitis issues. The government really needs to start doing long term follow-up studies on both bacterial and viral meningitis sufferers to confirm long term side effects of the disease. Its very nice to have these

High Dose Biotin (B7) and Thyroid Test results
I know people often ask how long to leave off biotin supplements to avoid skewing test results. This seems to suggest that if you take a high dose biotin such as one of the hair and nail supplements it could be as long as 8 days https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/887088_4

DBS SURGERY
With my DBS surgery scheduled for bright and early on December 15th, I have to say that the last nine months have passed quickly. I sometimes regret taking a year to make my decision that DBS was not only an option, but a "must do" for me. This website is a wonderful forum - I believe that the experiences

Hair loss?
I'm experiencing a lot of hairloss at the moment, it's been happening for a few months now and my hair has gotten really quite thin because of it. The doctor thinks it's to do with my hormones and endo, but for whatever reason it's getting me down. Does anyone know of anything that can help with hair

Today's tiny bit of evidence supporting Niagen and Pterostilbene.
Never take anything without first consulting your doctor and doing your own research. Now to the day's news. For those not familiar with my regimen you can click on my ugly mug and read all my prior posts and replies for a better understanding of what I am doing. Suffice to say that 2 of the supplements

It has now been a full year since I not only stopped my statin medication (Crestor 30 mg/day) but all cardiac medicines completely.
