Post Surgery Day Number 18 - How wonderful this is! My neuro gave me the okay today to adjust my regulator. Went from 1.9 to 2.0 on the right side (can choose which side and more or less "juice") and I went from feeling like a frozen lump of dough to getting up and working in my office for half an

My question is are there any certain things we should know like miscellaneous items he should take to the hospital? Also any other helpful things that might make it easier for him while

This will be short, as I have orders to rest my brain. Because I still have a small bookkeeping business, I have to make sure my clients are taken care of before I can post here. I am doing well. I want to thank all of you who sent messages of encouragement. My regulator is turned on, and the program

Happy New Year everyone! Yes, life is tough and our common struggle has brought us together. I sincerely wish that each one reading this would find hope not in this “all that glitters is gold” world but in the God who spoke the universe into existance. I’m planning on DBS scheduled for February and

Hello everyone, Is 48 hours enough time to be off biotin and b-vitamins before a thyroid antibody test?

After my original post, I think it was PMRpro that asked for a more indepth description of my journey. I have an appointment in December 2017 with my Rheumy and am wondering what questions I should ask. So here is my journey: February 22, 2017 – Saw Dr Gio for pain behind my clavicle bone he ordered

15 Years On and Still Going Strong
As some of you may know I had near fatal viral meningitis in July 2002. I wasn't expected to last the night on the 13th July let alone be around and kicking some 15 years on. So what does it feel like to be 15 years on from a life changing experience? In a word, pretty awesome. OK so that's two words

Is DBS good idea while PD still moderate?
Age 75, diagnosed 5 years ago. Score 41 out of 199 in UPDRS test. Went to new PD doc (old one moved) who said that even though my motor symptoms are still moderate and on one side, I would be good candidate for DBS. I thought that treatment was reserved for people in later stages. Anyone have any

Natural supplements & Low Oestrogen (?)
Hi I've had diagnosed PCOS for about 3 years and I struggle with many of the symptoms, particularly hirsutism and irregular cycles. I'm vegan and eat a largely PCOS-friendly diet (90% of the time) and although I'm not officially overweight, I carry a lot of fat around my midsection regardless of me eating
