PSA back up after radiation
After 4 .5 weeks of radiation PSA dropped from 6.6 to 3.46 but on 6/3 went up to 5.88. I have MO appt 6/11 and he has previously indicated that docetaxel could be the next step. Following last PSA increase switched from Zytiga to Xtandi. I am guessing that a PET scan is in order and maybe SBRT prior

Provenge immunotherapy
After 5.5 years on Lupron (no Zytiga, Xtandi, Daro, etc.), my PSA hit its highest points ever (1.92), although I'm still not 2 points above my lowest reading of 0.5 (only one of those). I'm metastatic and was at diagnosis, so still have prostate. I've been researching Provenge a bit, and understand that

Chemo reduction in PSA
My husband: After 7 years of treatments, we are now to chemo: Docetaxel. After 2nd infusion PSA went from 47 to 32. Is this a Good, normal, average, AWESOME šš» response? He has the CDK12 mutation. š© Thanks for any comments!

Warriors I am repeating some things here that were in other posts, however I do have a new question for the group. Started my journey in Oct of 2023. Diagnosed with prostate cancer via MRI and then Biopsy. Further diagnosis via a PET scan showed PSMA uptake in Pelvic lymph nodes and in Periaortic

Robotic wedge lung resection
During my pet scan a lung shadow was reported. Biopsy failed to get tissue but Drs. do not think it is from the stage 2/3 prostate cancer. They recommend a wedge resection via a daVinci mechanism to remove it. I'd like to hear from someone who has had that surgery but since it may be tangential to this

How about eating a healthy snack that might help fight PCa. Lotus seeds (Nelumbo nucifera) also known as makhana contain Neferine, see below
Neferine inhibits proliferation and migration of human prostate cancer stem cells through p38 MAPK/JNK activation Suat Erdogan, Kader Turkekul First published: 11 May 2020 https://doi.org/10.1111/jfbc.13253 Abstract Cancer stem cells (CSCs) are one of the significant causes of cancer treatment failure

Final lap?
Four years on and grateful for that. Enzalutamide stopped working earlier in the year. PSA doubling. Lesion in spine led to pathological fracture and some pressure on the spinal cord. Radiation to spine and pain relieved. Docetaxel started but discontinued due to severe allergic reaction. Nothing for

Hey everyone...don't know if anyone has had this experience. I'm about 12 months into my PCa battle...been on Firmagon for most of it (including now). Started on Zytiga last year but had to stop due to elevated liver enzymes, so I switched to Casodex about two months ago, but PSA numbers started to

Am I headed for Radiation
hello all. Wishing the best to everyone. Just a quick question that I think I know the answer to. After RP in June 2023 pathology was Gleason 4~3 with SVI, clear margins, lymph node dissection negative, prostate 30% involved. First PSA test all at quest was an ultra sensitive post prostatectomy test

Ultra sensitive psa
As my MO basically doesn't want to engage in conversation during my 5 min appointments as he feels it's an insult to his managing my case I was wondering after 7 rounds of docetaxil why he decided to do an Ultra sensitive PSA instead of just a good o PSA. I've not reached an undetectable number as of

Happy anniversary?
It was exactly 1 year ago that I got my first elevated PSA test that started my prostate cancer experience (I donāt like to say āJourneyā). Details in my comic. (http://burnscomic.com) After that, I had another PSA test (still elevated a month later), a pelvic MRI (showing pi-rads 5 areas), then a

Bad news: prostate cancers doubling by 2040
Bad news on one side, for all the guys that will join the damn club (and the trends say their age is lowering as well....I am an example actually!). On the other side we can hope for an increase of effort to solve the problem, at least for prostate, breast, lung and colorectal cancers, which are quite

Not PCa related but sounds like a very promising approach
When I read "advanced pancreatic cancer" and "overall disease control of 94%" in the same document...I feel like smiling.... https://ascopost.com/news/april-2024/advanced-pancreatic-cancer-oncolytic-virus-based-immunostimulatory-gene-therapy-plus-chemotherapy/

Pluvicto
My dad had his 1st pluvicto injection beginning of May He had his PSA taken 3 weeks later. It went from 16 to 23. Iām hoping this isnāt an indicator that this will fail too. He has been dealing with prostate cancer for 20+ years -prostate removed - watching till number doubled - maybe 5 years
