My dad had his 1st pluvicto injection beginning of May

He had his PSA taken 3 weeks later. It went from 16 to 23. I’m hoping this isn’t an indicator that this will fail too.

He has been dealing with prostate cancer for 20+ years

-prostate removed

- watching till number doubled - maybe 5 years

- ADT for years close to 10 years

-Zytiga for 15 months

- Orchiectomy

- Docetaxel (worked while he was on it, number rose when he stopped)

- Radiation to a spot in back (PSA still rose)

- Now Pluvicto

He did light up on his PSMA scan

first PSA reading may be misleading. Try to get scan after 2 injections. It will tell you more. Does he take xtandi ?

thank you for your response. He is getting a scan after injection 2 or 3. He does not take Xtandi. He goes to University of Chicago.

it usually goes up first treatment then goes down after that! Stay positive!

My PSA went up after 3 weeks, as well. It is normal, according to my doctors. I was 99 at start and 106 after 3 weeks. Two weeks later (before my next treatment) it was 91.8.

My routine was to get blood drawn after 3 weeks and before next injection. So hang in there for a couple more weeks and see what happens.

After completing Pluvicto my PSA is now 6.5.

Also, I was told they do not expect a positive reaction until after the third injection so they were very pleased that I started down after the first one.

Thank you so much for this response. I pray your PSA stays low for a long time

Your dear Dad had a RPD sometime before 2000, I had mine 2002. I'm 87 and what is your Dad's age? We both had the Old fashioned open RPD and I would say he's got lots and lots of years to go. Keep the faith and give him our regards.

Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.
