PET Scan showed left hip radiated lesions SUV dropped from 30.2 to 3.5, 20.4 to 2.8, 7.5 to 2.5. Nothing in head, neck, organs. Now the bad news: Multiple new lesions in left hip with increased PET intensity from SUV 2.6 to 33.6 and left lower pelvic lymph node with SUV 16.1. PSA following 4/4/24 radiation has climbed from 5/8-3.46,6/3-5.88,7/3-8.09,7/29-15.53(wow!). I start docetaxel 8/5 every 2 weeks for 6 months. I read that the 2 week dosage is appropriate for older, frail men. Since I am 83, I expect this is why my MO chose this. Frail I am not but if 2 weeks has less side effects, I am all in. I also will question if radiation of lymph node is appropriate in parallel. I look forward to your comments.

Radiation of lymph nodes when there have been multiple bone metastases is futile. Good luck with the docetaxel!
