53 year old woman here, with a 20ish year history of gradually increasing RLS and PLMD. Sleep test ten years ago confirmed PLMD (but I didn't happen to have RLS that night.) Over the years, RLS has become nightly and painful. I also have a 42 year history of tinnitus, occasional sleep paralysis, extreme

Enlarged/prominent thyroid
Is it possible that a thyroid can be enlarged and absolutely nothing is wrong. I’m really struggling to get a hold on my health which has been dropped in the last year, particularly the last 4 months. I was certain I had thyroid issues but I’ve been told very bluntly by thyroid surgeon that I do not

Fluid-like sensation/pain in chest region - reflux?
Hi all, just a quick query. I’ve had this kind of persistent folding feeling around the breastbone that’s accompanied with this sensation that feels like there’s liquid in the surrounding chest region to the left and was wondering if anyone else has experience with a similar pain. I’m 24 and have had

Feeling panicked and lost
First post and I’m scared to death. I cried trying to think of a username because I feel unable to make even the simplest decisions. I panic ALL DAY. I am up to 80 mg of Valium and it does nothing. I’m becoming agoraphobic because I feel paranoid that everybody can see on my face what I feel in my body

If not here then where?
Yes, I said it. If "YOU" can not state your fears, question and frustrations here, then where can "YOU" do it. This site, I feel is the perfect place to talk and if need be to cry. I most certainly do not know every answer for everything, but I am sure there is somebody on this webpage that has

What is it with inflammatory arthritis or grumble, grumble.
Went to catch a train to town this afternoon. No hurrying or anything. As I walked round to the station I noticed that my lower legs were starting to hurt. Not on my shins but to the sides of them a crampy kind of feeling - both legs, definitely didn’t feel good. By the time I got to where I was going

Am I the only one?
I develop pains when I am under stress and panic - usually my stomach, I get trapped gas under my ribs, I belch, I start to have panic attacks and imagine I have every deadly disease out there. It can be triggered by a pharmecutical commercial. I lost my brother last year and his birthday was 2/2.

New results help please
Hi there, I posted my results before Christmas when I was on 150mcg Levothyroxine and got some excellent advice here. I subsequently went gluten free and have been taking vitamins and supplements (D3, K2, B12, magnesium sulphate, Betaine HCl and digestive enzymes). I then persuaded my GP to increase

Anxiety disorder makes every problem seem ten times worse.
Problems and anxiety are a normal part of life. Nobody is without them. But too much stress, worry, overwork or loss makes our nervous system oversensitive and when this change occurs we start to view the world differently. One of the main symptoms is that problems we're well able to cope with normally

Radium-223 + Abiraterone & prednisone/prednisolone
New study below. "The addition of radium-223 to abiraterone acetate plus prednisone or prednisolone did not improve symptomatic skeletal event-free survival in patients with castration-resistant prostate cancer and bone metastases, and was associated with an increased frequency of bone fractures compared

I had a colonoscopy today( prep is brutal) that showed very little but Dr. took a biopsy just to be safe. Have to wait a week for results. Couldn't reach illum which is where my pain is located. Said he might do a lower give with barium and at same do a scan to make sure all is well. It could be

Dear all, Have you noticed how easy it is to give advice to each other but yet never follow your own advice yourself? Let’s be honest, we all share our experiences and reassure each other but we struggle to apply it to ourselves. For example, I promised myself to stop seeking reassurance from my lovely

Feeling of something stuck in throat constantly— HELP! Advice needed
Has anyone had the feeling of something stuck in their throat? No matter what I do, it won’t go away!!! It has been over a month. I went to the urgent care in late December and got prescribed 10 day round of antibiotics, steroid and inhaler. They claimed it was probably sinus infection and bronchitis
