Overactive bladder and Afib
I had a catheter ablation in February 2015, which has been very successful. However I have recently suffered with an overactive bladder, so purchased an Innovo pelvic floor exerciser. After three weeks of use I experianced an Afib attack, my heart has been a little jumpy since. Just wondered if anyone

How long does cardiac ablation typically last for re-entrant tachycardia?
I thought I was free of it( re-entrant tachycardia) after the last ablation however my other Cardiologist ( not the E.P. cardiologist) said it usually lasts for about a year. I hope I heard that wrong!

CRT-D Pacemaker Implantation Part 4
I had the option of increasing the toxic drugs I was on or having a
AV
Node
Ablation
togice the CRT-ICD unit to do its job. I chose ablation. February 1 2018 – I had the ablation. I felt no better, and my heart was left at 80 BPM and I was scheduled in to have it reduce to 60 BPM.

After surgery now
I thought it would be time to post here how I am doing after surgery. I had surgery on April the 5th 8 am and it took 4 hours. I didn't feel much pain to be honest or they kept it controlled during the time I was in hospital, which I left Sunday - 3 days after surgery. According to the doctors the surgery

Hysterectomy Advice Please
I'm interested in people's experiences with partial hysterectomy. Would you do it again, any regrets or problems? I'm definitely not having more children. Am 44 years old, been having problems for 7 years and have been advised to have either a hysterectomy, Mirena, endometrial ablation or go on the

What is the realistic expectation for the young afibber?
What if
ablation
doesn't work at all at some piont?
AV
node
ablation
or give in to permanent afib? So these still don't affect life longevity? Sorry if this sounds annoying.

Lymphedemajourney
I’ve just had a flare up of my secondary lymphedema due to radical mastectomy and 14 lymph node removal. It will be 2 years May 16, 2018 since my surgery. I’ve been able to control lymphedema with compression sleeve. But now I’ve had this flare up—swelling, upper arm & elbow redness & hot. Also spots

Pacemaker with AV node ablation
Therefore on Tuesday, I go in for the fitting of a pacemaker - followed in four weeks time with an
AV
node
ablation
. This, I am told will hopefully improve my quality of life, although obviously the AF will continue but not affect me.

Lymph Node Dissection [LND] & Salvage Radiotherapy [sRT].
New Mayo study below [1]. For article, see [2]. When radical prostatectomy (RP) is a primary treatment option, it offers better 10 year survival than radiation. And if it fails, there is always salvage radiation therapy (sRT), which, however, is not offered with curative intent. "Up to 50% of patients

Endometrial ablation??
What happens when you ‘get your period’ after this procedure? I understand some people bleed less or not at all but do you still get period pains etc. or does the uterus not cramp etc. because there’s less/nothing to expel?

Hybrid Ablation - second time lucky
I was all prepared for the first part of my Hybrid Ablation, and under general anaesthetic when it was discovered that I had a clot inside my heart. The operation was aborted due to significantly increased risks, and a couple of days later I was sent home to recover. Four weeks later, after going in

Pacemaker with AV node ablation
It would appear that I am now looking at a pacemaker with
av
node
ablation
. I am hesitant, quite possibly because it is a last resort! Any feed back would be hugely appreciated both good and bad. And thank you.

Pacemaker !!!
Hello there all you Afibbers. Feeling very disappointed and sad as we had just finished packing the car to go to our home in Spain when my husbands cardiologist from Pathworth rang so say he had some results of a recent heart tracker post ablation and it would seem my husband now needs aPacemaker.
