Waiting period for catheter ablation in Bedfordshire
Hello, Back in September 2017 I had a major heart attack resulting in 12 shocks and 10 CPRS, followed by one stent in the main artery. Since then, I’ve had 3 episodes of atrial fibrillation and were brought under control by drugs. I am told I need catheter ablation but can’t afford a private operation

Cardio Abalation Cryo
I'm in on Monday having my second catheter ablation. Has anyone had the Cryo ablation? My last Abalation was around 7 years ago and it was RF based. Is the recovery time quicker on a Cryo?

Looking for input on lung cancer surgery with lymph node removal and mild COPD
I am now down to 3 lobes due to lung cancer surgeries. It has been 5 weeks and I still get short of breath with any exertion. My heart rate goes up as high as 120, but my O2 level pretty much stays above 90. As soon as I sit down my heart rate starts to drop and my O2 level goes up. My oncologist has

SVT and heart catheter
I have suffered with SVT for a good 6 years. I have decided I would like to go through with the catheter ablation. I am very very nervous as I suffer from severe anxiety. I know this is what I want to do though. I want to enhance my quality of life and finally live without worrying about my episodes.

av node ablation
I had a Medtronic pacemaker put in three weeks ago and two days ago I had the av node ablated. It is early days, I feel tired and washed out, and a little overwhelmed by it all. I certainly do not feel like skipping about that is for sure, although I wish I did! So at the moment I don't really think

The AF is Back
Hi my name is Tasha, I had catheter ablation (twice) at Barts Hospital in London and it worked really well but as time has passed my AF has come back. At first we thought it might be a symptom of menopause (I am in my fifties) and one cardiologist was very dismissive on that count but now it is official

Six monthly review - Success(?)
I was diagnosed with Persistent AF in April 2016; prior to this I had been a very fit club cyclist. My treatment was Bisoprolol and Rivaroxaban with a cardioversion in October 2016 which kept me in NSR for just two weeks. After this I was accepted onto a clinical trial at Sheffield. This involved a

Hi Ladies,
My name is Jules. I found out I had breast cancer in sept 17, I had 6 rounds of chemo, docetaxol and EC which shrunk the tumour, then I had a therapeutic mammoplasty and lymph node removal. A Routine CT scan followed and then came the news in March that it had moved to my bones, spine, pelvis, hips.

In and out of Afib.
I had a cardiac ablation on April 30th. After procedure, I was in normal sinus rhythm for 4 days. The last two days, I'm experiencing a couple afib episodes, and back to sinus today. I hope it's normal.

Anyone been to Bordeaux for an Ablation?
I'm hoping to go to Bordeaux for a Catheter Ablation next month. Has anyone been there an if so could they tell me:_ 1) How long before the Ablation did you have the Transoesophageal Echocardiogram done and how sore was your throat afterwards? 2) How did you get from the airport there to your accommodation

Overactive bladder and Afib
I had a catheter ablation in February 2015, which has been very successful. However I have recently suffered with an overactive bladder, so purchased an Innovo pelvic floor exerciser. After three weeks of use I experianced an Afib attack, my heart has been a little jumpy since. Just wondered if anyone

How long does cardiac ablation typically last for re-entrant tachycardia?
I thought I was free of it( re-entrant tachycardia) after the last ablation however my other Cardiologist ( not the E.P. cardiologist) said it usually lasts for about a year. I hope I heard that wrong!
