Av. Node. Ablation.

Had av node.ablation one week ago still feel heart beating and rate in the 80's. Is this normal. Also my pacemaker appears to have moved and I can feel it. Does this happen.

How are others feeling after becoming pacemaker dependent?

I’m newly pacemaker dependent after having an AV Node ablation. I’m feeling out of breath with activity. Is that usual?

Seeking pearls of wisdom.

My Cardiologist is suggesting an AV Node ablation. Which isn't reversible and leaving me pacemaker dependent the rest of my life. So, before I pull the trigger on that idea I really need to get it right. Has anyone out there had than AV Node ablation and what can I expect after??

Stem Cell Therapy for Cardiomyopathy

My husband has cardiomyopathy with a fib, has ICD and now his EP cardiologist suggesting AV node ablation. But we just found out about stem cell therapy for Cardiomyopathy. Has any one heard about that, has any experience on this subject ?

Taking Bisoprolol in between pacemaker and AV node ablation

Has anyone else taken these tablets in between having a pacemaker fitted and then the AV node ablation? I am feeling very depressed with the whole thing. Thanks in advance for your help. Gloria

AV node ablation

Hi all Need some advice, have a two lead pacemaker (4years) Now advised to have an A V. Node ablation. Seeing the cardiologist on Thursday at Barts. Open heart surgery for mitral valve repair (18 years) June of last year diagnosed with Polymyagia, and taking steroids, now reducing them, hoping this

AV Node Ablation Update

The AV node ablation was meant to be 4-6 weeks after the PaceMaker but with the Covid situation this was put back from August to October and I finally had it on 21st December. I count myself lucky as because of staff shortages the list was halved.

AV Node Ablation appointment.

I have permanent fast AF and had a Pacemaker at the end of June and was told I wouldn’t feel any benefit until after my AV Node Ablation which would be 4-6 weeks later.

Lainie update

I know the final option is AV node ablation and pacemaker but have now been advised that it’s not always successful but it is irreversible so if I get to that stage it will be a tough decision. What other options are there ? Has anyone got a pacemaker and AF controlled by other means?

Afib and aflutter

Next step is AV node ablation with a watchman implanted. I’ve read many of your comments on failed AV node ablations. Anyone have success? Also, anyone have issues with leg muscles during Afib and aflutter? What did you do to overcome?

AV Node Ablation and Pacemaker

I was told by several doctors that a cardiac ablation would probably not be successful so I went with the AV Node Ablation. Anyway, the procedure is done and I am still getting used to the pacemaker.

Can I drink Alcohol?

It’s like I had an av node ablation. 100% pacemaker dependent I take metoperal 50 twice a day heart is purring around 70 and have no tachycardia but get out of breath after walking briskly because chambers are out of sync. When I stop it drops right back to 70.

AV NODE ABLATION

Has anyone had one of these? It has been recommended to me by Cardiologist but means the pacemaker takes over the role of keeping me alive.

Recent ‘Pace & Ablate’

AV node ablation done on August 4th. Super good and fast recovery. Wonderful to have normal heart rhythm after a year of constant Afib, tiredness and shortness of breath. So thankful to the Afib Clinic staff of St. Paul’s Hospital.
