I have had a pacemaker implant, recently and waiting for an

Ablation
, for which I am feeling extremely anxious about. Has anyone out there had this procedure? I would like to know their experiences- hope fully positive ones. Thank you

Weight gain with AFIB
If so, does
AV

help to lose the extra weight? Jodie

Contemplating ablate and pace
But to be quite honest, I still don't understand why CDreamer never got the
AV
node
ablation
. If AF was/is still there, how did the pacemaker override the chaotic signals coming through the
AV
node
to the ventricles, without an
AV
node
ablation
?

AF & AV node ablation confusion
Does anyone know if you can still be in AF after
AV
node
ablation
and pacemaker dependent?

~AV Node ablation update~
There are other readings too that are not normal, but GP believes the pacemaker ( Feb 2024) was enough for body to cope with and this
AV
Node
ablation
has been too much too soon - I juggle a few other health issues alongside which added to the mix.

~AV Node ablation - 3 days post op~
~I would be most grateful to learn if anyone who may have had an
av
node
ablation
has found breathing a bit more difficult post op? If so will this just be part and parcel of the
AV
node
ablation
?

Av Node Abltion
Now he is saying my only option is a
AV
Node
ablation
which I am reluctant to have because of relying on your pacemaker and there is no guarantee it will work.Is there anyone who has had this procedure done and give some feed back.

AF has not returned after all
So for now, I am back on diltiazem until I can be scheduled for a NEAR
AV
node
ablation
(at the triangle of Koch, which is anatomically significant because the atrioventricular node is located at the apex of the triangle) later this year.

AV node ablation after pacemaker implantation
Is it normal to be short of breath after 2 months of
AV
node
ablation
and pacemaker implantation? Any comment would be much appreciated, thanks.

CRT-P
I am due to have a CRT-P implant and an
AV
node
ablation
. If others out there have had this I would like to know what is what like and did it improve their quality of life. It is so difficult to ask the professionals question, so left feeling very nervous about these procedures..

pace maker and node ablation
Due to the AF still persisting I had an
AV
node
ablation
4 weeks later. I really thought that I could at last live a normal life. I am 75 years old and been under my consultant since 2006.

Good news story
If any of you are in the situation I was in after making all the lifestyle changes ie very symptomatic when in AF and intolerant of medication then do not be afraid to have an
AV
node
ablation
if it is offered to you.

2 lead pacemaker to CRT PM
HiHad a 2 lead PM fitted 21 months ago following
AV
node
ablation
and since then I have developed heart failure and AF. Had three visits to heart failure clinic and been prescribed ramipril, bisoprolol and dapagliflozin.

~Just seeking some solace please~
Initially plan "B" by EP was to have
AV
node
ablation
should p.m not be able to support some of my issues. I am booked for 27/3/24 for overnight stay - am very nervous about the finality of my heart's own natural electric's - I understand I have no other choice here in NZ.

Few issues
Hi, ongoing issues, HF (EF 40%), LVSD, AF.Total heart block, 2 lead Pacemaker dependant due to
AV
node
ablation
with no rate response, set at 70bpm (HR doesn't go above) had rate response activated but made AF worse so back to 70bpm.

Pressure on mid back causing AF to come on.
Because mefications made me unwell i was finally fitted with a pacemaker in prepation for
AV
node
ablation
. Once the pm was fitted i was able to forgo the node ablation.

I have an
AV
