Pain management
How do you cope with the pain, I'm taking Tramodol, ibuprofen and paracetamol for fun and I still can't sleep for long periods as the pain wakes me up all the time. I'm getting desperate for pain relief now, any suggestions please, just started on Nifedipine and got a vascular appointment in 3 days,

Amlodipine
Hi - I saw the Rheumatologist today and he has put me on Amlodipine 5mg tablets as I got constant headaches with the Adalat LA and the Nifedipine. Anyone else on the Amlodipine? If so, do you get on ok with them? Thanks Carol

I am on diltiazem and my new dr. wants to put me on nifedipine
but I am scared to try it since it could cause blockage or symptoms of a heart attack. Anybody have any severe symptoms?

Beta-blockers and exercise?
Apologies to anyone who's already answered this question, I posted it earlier today and couldn't see the answers. I wondered if anyone had experience of taking atenolol whilst doing C25K, I think it is slowing me down, I can only manage 3km in 30 minutes.

First cyclophosphamide pulse
First treatment today; just in time as ESR, C-RP and WBC counts were ramping up on previous blood tests. On the menu today was ondansetron 8mg, methyl prednisilone 500mg, cyclophosphamide 1g and Mesna 600mg. Was in for a total of 5 hours. Feeling pretty weak and washed out now. Have a low grade

permanent numbness?
I am 29 years old, I have suffered with raynaud's for around 20 years. It is now quite severe and I take Nifedipine. I have recently noticed that one of my fingers feels slightly numb most of the time. This finger is nearly always affected first during an attack and the numbness is just down one side

Weight gain from changing medication, please help......
My partner was on Myfortic Acid for 3 years before changing to Azathioprine. Around the same time she also changed her beta blocker from Atenolol to Bisoprolol. Approx 4months after these alterations in her medication she noticed that she had water retention around the chest and abdomen causing her weight

Can Nifedipine cause muscle weakness in the oesophagus as I have seen mentioned on some web sites? If so, this is where I get confused.
Suffering with Raynaulds and on Nifedipine I now have swollowing and digestive problems so have been told I also have Scleroderma. Could it not just be the medication for the Raynaulds and if so is it reversable once you stop taking the medication?

Should I return to work (a primary school) where there are many cases of Slapped Cheek? Is it safe or am I at risk?
I take methotrexate, hydroxychloroquine, warfarin, nifedipine and escitalopram. I have SLE, raynauds and antiphospholipid syndrome. I have been off work for a couple of weeks with kidney pain - am waiting for kidney biopsy as I may have lupus nephritis.
