Amlodipine

Hi - I saw the Rheumatologist today and he has put me on Amlodipine 5mg tablets as I got constant headaches with the Adalat LA and the Nifedipine. Anyone else on the Amlodipine? If so, do you get on ok with them?

I take it (10mg tablets) and get on fine with it. No headaches or side effects. I hope it helps you.

I have been on amlodipine 10mg and get on fine wih it . Really DOES help with raynauds. Do give it a try (only way to find out if it suits you) and good luck!

Hi, my Dr put me on Amlodipine last year.It did not agree with me at all. It made me very sick and dizzy so i had to stop taking it. For other reasons my husband was prescribed it and it did not suit him either. He was not sick and dizzy but found it was making him very,very tired - going to bed very early and one day nearly falling asleep when driving.....not a good idea ! But every body is different it might suit you. Just be aware of the side effects.

I was taking it (along with captopril) & it had no effect on me what so ever. I was taken off it when I was diagnosed with chronic Erythromelalgia a few years back.
