Sharp dragging pain lower right abdomen
I am on 15 mgs of Pred. 25 mg of Atenolol ( culprit?) and Tramadol ( more lately due to reducing Pred. I have an almost constant pain in my right lower abdomen, actually just above the groin area. It is the kind of pain a boil would cause but internal. It is possibly bowel or bladder linked. There is

Taking Antibiotics with Warfarin and Atenolol
Hello all - I'm very new to the group, (one week) so I'm constantly in need of advice and opinions. I was diagnosed with Afib last December and started on Warfarin in January. Last Wednesday, I saw a new Cardiologist who said I'm at high risk of stroke, and he immediately put me on a beta-blocker (Atenolol

Beta blockers and weight gain
Can anyone offer suggestions of how to loose weight whilst taking BB? I have permanent AF diagnosed 4 yrs ago. I have been on different combinations of these drugs which have all increased my weight ( more than the 4 lbs suggested on any research article I have read). I'm currently taking Bisoprolol

13 days post ablation.
After the events of last weekend I've been pleased to have a fairly quiet week. I ended up calling an ambulance last Sunday and apparently had a 'reaction' to adenosine in A&E. I was discharged with Atenolol added to the Flecainide and Apixaban. I'm pleased to say I have been in sinus rhythm since then

Finally been referred to an endo - Paul Ryan
If anyone has the time to read all my posts please feel free. A potted latest version is as follows: I was prescribed Atenolol ( a beta blocker) and it sent all my figures awry. My GP didn't seem to to think it would make any difference but then again he doesn't want to know about T3. I take T3 under

Stress and IST,pacs and pvcs.
I have been under a lot more stress then usual this week, family issues. I am on atenolol which has always worked well for me up until this week. I seem to be having more episodes of ist, pvcs and pacs then I normally do. Even if you are taking your medication regularly can increase chronic stress make

Advice for newbie please
I've just been diagnosed with paroxysmal AF and, with a very supportive GP, I'm starting on the road to find a treatment that suits me best. I've read a lot but would love some tips on questions I should really be asking. In hindsight I had probably had infrequent episodes of AF that just left me feeling

propafenone burning side effect
I am taking Propafenone 150mg twice daily for Atrial Tachycardia and i have some horrible side effects. Does anyone else have a burning feeling over their whole body. This has just started after 4 weeks on Propafenone, when the doctor told me to take an extra 75 mg at 2.00 pm. I already have dizziness

Every medication seems to give me awful side effects. G.P. seems disinterested
Latest side effect of Losartan is dizziness resulting since April 2015in Colles fracture of left wrist. Less than one week after removal of cast tripped and could not recover balance, resulting in soft tissue injury of left hand and three more weeks of plaster cast. On 25th December bent down to pick

Checkup - another six months done
Well, here I am and I'm quite pleased/relieved. Currently sitting drinking a cup of tea in The Christie having had my six month review. I went into it with a little trepidation I have to admit. In Nov I had a blood test at my GP and my platelets had dropped to 123, a repeat at GP in December saw it

Posting symptoms as a record for myself and anyone else who might be interested. I want this documented also.
I need to keep a note of what's happening and I thought if I do a kind of blog on here, then I have it at my disposal or for anyone else who needs to see it. After about a year on T4 it was obvious I was not doing well on it. I was even prescribed Eltroxin only so that I didnt shift around with different

Hi all, wondering if anyone had a bit of info on this. Had my last CV (4th one and 2 ablations) 2 months ago and I was fine with an NSR of 65 resting, 2 weeks ago I started getting Tachycardias again but without the AFib, NSR of 120 resting. Went to see my GP and she put me back on Atenolol (horrible
