I wonder if you can give me some advice. I suffer with AF and take one 50mg flecainide every 8 hours. One at 6 am one at 2pm and one at 10pm. I take one 25mg atenolol in the morning at 6am. I also take one 5mg felodipine tablet in the morning around 8a.m. I also take one 15mg Rivaroxaban in the evening

Advice for newbie please
I've just been diagnosed with paroxysmal AF and, with a very supportive GP, I'm starting on the road to find a treatment that suits me best. I've read a lot but would love some tips on questions I should really be asking. In hindsight I had probably had infrequent episodes of AF that just left me feeling

propafenone burning side effect
I am taking Propafenone 150mg twice daily for Atrial Tachycardia and i have some horrible side effects. Does anyone else have a burning feeling over their whole body. This has just started after 4 weeks on Propafenone, when the doctor told me to take an extra 75 mg at 2.00 pm. I already have dizziness

Every medication seems to give me awful side effects. G.P. seems disinterested
Latest side effect of Losartan is dizziness resulting since April 2015in Colles fracture of left wrist. Less than one week after removal of cast tripped and could not recover balance, resulting in soft tissue injury of left hand and three more weeks of plaster cast. On 25th December bent down to pick

Checkup - another six months done
Well, here I am and I'm quite pleased/relieved. Currently sitting drinking a cup of tea in The Christie having had my six month review. I went into it with a little trepidation I have to admit. In Nov I had a blood test at my GP and my platelets had dropped to 123, a repeat at GP in December saw it

Posting symptoms as a record for myself and anyone else who might be interested. I want this documented also.
I need to keep a note of what's happening and I thought if I do a kind of blog on here, then I have it at my disposal or for anyone else who needs to see it. After about a year on T4 it was obvious I was not doing well on it. I was even prescribed Eltroxin only so that I didnt shift around with different

Hi all, wondering if anyone had a bit of info on this. Had my last CV (4th one and 2 ablations) 2 months ago and I was fine with an NSR of 65 resting, 2 weeks ago I started getting Tachycardias again but without the AFib, NSR of 120 resting. Went to see my GP and she put me back on Atenolol (horrible

Does anyone take 2 different Beta Blockers at the same time?
Hi ive not been officially diagnosed with AF, my cardiologist thinks I probably have PAF. My problem at the moment is my Betablockers, I have been on 160mg of propranolol for 25 yrs, was getting a lot of breakthro ectopics, tachycardia. To cut a long story short, ive tried several different Betablockers

Is there a happy ending for AF?
Hi, I came across this forum this morning and what a relief to know I'm not the only one. I'm 59 and I've been in AF Tachycardia for a year. In this time I've had 4 Cardioversions and 2 Ablations, none of them successful till last Friday with my latest Cardioversion. I've been on Warfarin and Atenolol

Hi, I was diagnosed with Long QT Syndrome 27 years ago. I have LQT1 and have the KCNQ1 gene mutation. I lost both members of my family who also had this condition, sadly, prior to diagnosis. High T3 levels
Im sorry if Im going on about this but I have had some further advice from the blood testing department who do say that atenolol definitely blocks the absorbtion of T3 or the conversion of T4 to T3. However as I only take T3 Im now thinking that the high T3 level is because its just sitting there and

T3 too high - help with results please?
this post could be confusing. Please read but basically I am asking the following: T3 is high....am I taking too much T3 or is the atenolol affecting it. Hashimotos Thyroiditis ....what is that and why has it never been picked up by the GP who said there were no antibody issues. T4 is low....am I right

Wandering atrial pacemaker, etc
Results from 24 ecg said I have lots of svts, constant ectopic beats and a wandering atrial pacemaker. But that was info over the phone so need to find out implications if I can get to see my doctor within next few weeks. He did not sound unduly concerned, but then he wouldn't, would he? Half an atenolol
