Hydroxyurea got ET, I am worried to be stuck with it for the rest of life.
Hello everyone, I was diagnosed with ET ( triple negative) 7 years ago, was on
aspirin
only so far. But recently my platelets count came 1500, and dr put me on hydroxyurea tablets a day. I am really worried bcz I heard it can cause cancer itself . I argued with my dr.

Atrial Flutter: is it a long-term condition?
I took myself off it and took instead 75 mg of
aspirin
a day. Has anyone had a different treatment which avoids the need for Apixaban altogether?

Just got prescribed Edoxoban 30mg
I had been taking
Aspirin
for twelve years. He told me to make sure to wean off the Asprin for four to five days. He said it stays in your system that long. He told me that the Edoxoban is gone within 24 hours, in comparison. Said it is safe. However I always worry about bleeding.

How frequently do you see your MPN specialist?
I'm currently on
aspirin
alone for my ET, as I'm in the low risk category. (My platelets range 530-650 and my VAF is around 9%.) I'm in two minds about what to think. Part of me is happy to know things are stable and that my MPN specialist (in Mt Sinai, NYC) suggested to space out visits.

Unsure of treatment
I was put on
aspirin
which eventually gave severe stomach problems. I have now been told to start hydroxyurea because of my age and was reluctant to do so because of side effects. There has been no discussion about anything and I am not aware of a ‘team’.

I'm on Entresto and 6 other tablets including Dapagliflozin, eplerenone , beta blocker,
aspirin
, and a statin.Tested for new drug to enter trial, but my BNP was too low (44). Feel very fatigued at times but try and walk or do some sort of exercise every day. Cardiologist says I have LVSD and LBBB.

Aspirin
and Clopidogrel after breakfast Atorvastatin in the evening I now need to add Lansoprazole, a PPI, which must be taken in the morning 30 to 60 minutes before food.

Yendo’s history with lung problems.
In 1987 I was rushed to hospital after suffering a severe asthma attack caused after taking two
aspirin
pills. Previously, I had been taking
aspirin
for years with no adverse reactions, but I was told that allergies can begin at any time of life.

GP cancelled my free prescriptions as doesn't classify ET as a blood cancer, and even if it was, I'm not recieving ongoing treatment!?
In my mind the fact that I'm taking
aspirin
daily and seeing a Haematologists 4 times a year, and providing ongoing blood tests is treatment. He has invited me to challenge his decision, thus this post.

new on Flecainide
So for the first six years I was on low dose diltiazem and one standard
aspirin
. for the last four years I was put on Multaq and Eliquis. Multaq kept me in NSR for about a year and then progressively became ineffective.

Elevated Cholesterol
Just wondering whether anyone else has elevated Cholesterol and just taking
Aspirin
watch and wait? Fortunately my Triglycerides are good. I tried Atorvastatin in 2018 but had to stop after 6m due to severe muscle aches. No doubt my GP will be chasing this up with me.

daily as well as a prenatal. in my prenatal it says it has 35mg of vitamin k and unknowingly I have been taking that daily. have I been ruining my own chances by taking this prenatal?

Salbutamol for Myasthenia
The outcome from 1mg of salbutamol was much better than that from 1200mg of
aspirin
or 250-750mg of caffeine. Surprised at this result, I sought out literature to see whether the effect was plausible.

I have ET, Jak2, had it 7 years, and at the moment take
aspirin
and hydroxy. Had my telephone consultation yesterday and was pleased to hear my platelets are the lowest they’ve ever been at 355.
