Aspirin

At the time it was noted that my platelets had returned to "normal levels" for a person without ET and the consultant commented how they had never said that to someone with ET, especially one that was only on aspirin treatment.

Hi I’ve been on Apixaban now for 8 months and have just had an awful sore throat cough virus, just getting better now but obviously run down as I have a few ulcers in my mouth now is it ok to use bonjela I know it’s aspirin based but you use such a tiny amount and it’s effective any thoughts?

My consultant is happy to prescribe steroids, clexane and aspirin without the text which is so much cheaper. Wondered if anyone else has done this and got a BFP?

hello I’m 58 and diagnosed with PV 8 years ago which was managed up to October 22 with aspirin and venesection. My platelets and white blood cells started shifting so my haem consultant put me on interferon which controlled my blood beautifully.

It’s a long story but I’ve had CT scan with radioactive dye which has shown some irregularities, he’s put me on atorvostsatatin 40mg , aspirin and now a beta blocker. The thing is the consultant wouldn’t tell me if I’m at the low or high end of moderate stenosis, or the parameters of my results.

Has anyone experienced chronic GERD even with a PPI when taking aspirin please? Thanks as ever. Judi

Obviously i have had angina but following the stent i have no symptoms, feel perfectly healthy and daily take Aspirin, statins and blood pressure pills. The new job is for a duel fuel smart meter engineer, nothing physically demanding.

It could have been high protein or low calcium or the Metformin or Aspirin or dehydration. Now my weight is more or less stable at 15st 9lb. I walk 10 miles each week.

I was diagnosed with ET three months ago and as I am high-risk (over 60, JAK-2 positive, another mutation and a couple of TIA episodes) I have been prescribed daily aspirin and weekly Peg-interferon.

All I'm on is warfarin and aspirin for my metal valve. I eat a very healthy diet and go for walks, never drink. It would destroy my mental health to keep fighting for medical answers so I can't. I've never received psychological therapy for the PTSD. Because the NHS won't admit I've got PTSD.

Would aspirin be of any use in combination with her prednisone?

I am on the following medication: Bisoprolo Lansodrazole Aspirin Ticagrelor Atorvastatin Ramipril Allopurinol I also take Wellman Max which is vitamins and minerals daily.

In addition to the phlebotomies I take 1 low dose aspirin twice a day. I am now 61. My question to all of you is "how did you decide on your treatment"? Did you just accept whatever treatment you dr. recommended?

I have stopped taking it and am now taking 25 mg of CBD and 81mg baby aspirin, Has anyone else tried CBD? Or had side effects from Hydrea or Anagralie?

I am a relatively fit and healthy 57 year old, no health complications so when I was diagnosed with ET last year I was put on aspirin and ferrous sulphate for a watch and wait treatment.

He found out he had ET aged 46 and was initially treated with aspirin. He then started taking Hydroxycarbamide, but he didn't tolerate it well so was switched to Anegrelide, which suited him well for many years.

PV JAK2+ Pega, aspirin. Can they give me iron pills?

I have been taking aspirin with Prasugrel for 12 months since my HA and have now been told by my surgery to stop the Prasugrel and continue with Aspirin.
