Zeroing in on optimal dose of Synthroid/Cytomel combination.

I've been tinkering with different thyroid drugs & doses since the NP Thyroid went sideways in March 2020. I think I'm close to my optimal dose and the good news is that the RT3 decreased from 32.5 to 23.8 mg/dL. Current dose: 112 mcg Synthroid & 20 mcg Cytomel. Background is that I had a full thyroidectomy

Results : Organic Acid Test (OAT) from Great Plains Laboratory.

I wanted to share the details of the results for my mother, based on Urine test . Hopefully, this will help a few on this forum. I am only indicating the High/Low items in the report. The remaining ( of the total of 77 items) were within the Ref. Range. See attached sample report from their website

L-Arginine and Prostate Cancer

Some of you may have coronary artery disease from a bad diet or from genetics. I am one of the latter. I use L-arginine before moderate+ level exercise and it allows me to get my heart rate up much higher without Angina symptoms. It does so by dilating the arteries so more blood and oxygen can flow

L-lysine Supplements

I have been on w&w for the past 2 years with frequent bouts of mouth sores. My GP put me on lysine supplements and within 10 days sores have cleared but wbc rose from 14k to 19k. Has anyone had similar experiences and if so what did you do.

Amino Acid Supplements?

I've been diagnosed with CKD. Went from 172 lbs to 150. I was lifting 4-5 days/week until they closed the gym (thanks COVID-19) and was on 3 amino acid supplements (creatine, glutamine, and arginine). Once diagnosed, I stopped all 3. I'm fairly certain that creatine is out for good. However, my question

The more homocysteine, the worse the Parkinson's?

Perhaps raising the head of our bed a few inches. From Ian Fritzell's (a PWP) vlog last week. Who knows?? A mixed bag.

I have not tried this myself, so I do not vouch for it, but I find Ian to be a reliable, objective source and a good guy, so I'll try it tonight. A conundrum for use v. non-use of specific amino acids in muscle atrophy and immune support for CLL patients

Those patients who really want to increase their muscle mass will exercise regularly and may consume body-building proteins, like the branched-chained amino acids - leucine, isoleucine, and valine; arginine; lysine; methionine; and glutamine.
