I am wondering if anyone who has been taking NAC and glycine for a while has had problems with it in terms of indigestion. Thanks

I just bought some and took one dose 1000 mg each and had diarrhea after. But not any indigestion or stomach pain. I stopped and going to wait and try it again. I have things to do and don’t want my bowels to get in the way. They already do as it is.

I guess my main concern was indigestion but he was not taking as high of a dose

I’ve taken it for years as an immune system builder. No problems with indigestion. I did have acid reflux for years but it went away after I lost 60 pounds

my husband had GERD but seems to have gotten beyond it without medication but he is underweight so do not want him losing weight- he didn't seem to have a problem with the NAC until after he did the colonosopy prep diet and liquid and after that he was having trouble with supplements that had never given him a problem before

Colonoscopies are notoriously hard on everyone. I’d suggest a good probiotic for a few months. The supplements are probably not the problem. PS: my doctor does not order colonoscopies except if cancer is likely or suspected

the doctor has decided that his results are good and he will not have to have another one in the future unless something unusual comes up and this was very good news

I tried some time ago and had issues due to high dosage recommended per a protocol. I did not proceed.

my husband was not really taking it in a high dose but I did read the potential side effects and some of them were consistent with the problems he was developing on that

600 mg NAC and 1000 mg Glycine seems to be tolerated well for starters. TMG instead of plain Glycine is even better

It is possible that this could be resumed because now things seem to have kind of settled down. It seems like there was some issue with the prep liquid so I am glad that they don't plan on having him have any more colonoscopies, endoscopies, etc.
